Are you kidding me? Lebron loves turning everything into race. He’s also an idiot & has turned off millions of basket ball fans from the NBA with his flopping, his temper tantrums, & his traveling. The guy does press conferences holding a book in his hand that he’s never read to look like some intellectual. Happy he is sticking up for Clark but he’s a complete pos. Oh and don’t forget that he was a regular to Diddy orgies & possibly Epstein island. You don’t know wtf you’re talking about. Have fun with the other 6 ppl at the next Biden rally.

You’re not a black personality, so stop the BS. You’re weak and uneducated if you do not understand how her whiteness is being cuddled and marketed. As a fan of the WNBA for years, it’s clearly demonstrated and we can see the difference. Race is a part of this, as someone who is white and black, I can admit that this really is about the media and whiteness. There’s been much better players in the league and even college. Part of her intrigue is her game, but part of it is cuz she's a relatively small white girl in a black dominated sport (an anomaly), it's okay to say that. If there was a black hockey super star, I believe that player would get more intrigue for the exact same reason. The fact so many are up in arms over it when she's bringing massive attention to the game which is what they've been wanting for so long makes this whole thing quite sad.

Yea, exactly.. I think when people deny that that’s PART of her appeal, it’s easy for people who see it clearly to get upset.. it’s that whole “gaslighting” thing.. and if we’re being honest, the people that are upset aren’t looking at CC in a vacuum.. they’re looking at history and climate and applying it here (which is unfair to CC.. but they’re trying to address real issues that have been unfair to them).. they’re also looking at how much hate Angel Reese got and they’re sticking up for her by misdirecting the energy towards CC.. and if we’re being fair, misdirecting energy/hate isn’t unique to this situation or any “side”.. it’s a weak tactic people, in general, use when they don’t want to discuss the merits.. But like, of course people are intrigued by the race element with CC or Tiger or the Williams sisters or Eminem.. but then they’re also all amazing and also have superstar qualities that don’t have anything to do with race.. If we really want to move beyond this way of seeing the world and each other, we have to have an honest discussion on the merits.. and no one is gonna come out looking squeaky clean.. but we’ll all feel better about ourselves and each other if we’re just honest..

It might’ve been split between the 2

Caitlin Clark isn't popular because she's white. But Angel Reese is definitely more popular because she's black. We talk about them together like they're equals. They're not. One set the NCAA all time scoring record, shooting from half court, avg 30 ppg & drafted #1... the other was part of a NCAA championship team, avg 19 ppg & was drafter #7... Black people should recognize a win when we have one. The fact that we are even speaking about Angel Reese in the same air space of Caitlin Clark is a win for Angel Reese.

The fact that Cameron Brink was in the same draft sort of ruins her whole theory. Brink is gorgeous, good at basketball, and definitely straight. I remember when Venus and Serena Williams started playing tennis. My dad told me it’s OK that you find it interesting and intriguing because they’re black, but they still have to earn it, and giving them so much may end up doing more harm than good because it could cause resentment. He was right about that. They did earn it! But I also remember my dad talking to me about Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova , and all the great players that came before them. Yes a black father and his daughter sat and talked about a bunch of white women who played tennis because they were the ones that mattered and they were the ones that came before Venus and Serena. Now let’s be honest what are the chances of white fathers talking to their daughters about Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie, zero. That kind of pisses me off? My other issue is how the media are being so hyperbolic when they talk about her rookie season. Candace Parker won league MVP her rookie season Clark’s aren’t touching Candace Parker’s, so can we stop calling a historic rookie season it’s not. Candace Parker had an historic rookie season. Parker was double teamed, and triple teamed all season so cut the bullshit excuses. Just say Caitlin Clark is doing OK and keep it moving.

Only thing I’m confused about is that it’s a lot of American white girls that are great in the WNBA. Their have been a lot of a bunch of number 1 picks that are white. People specifically like Caitlyn though. Not sure if it’s her game, other than the threes but that’s not unique to her either. It’s not her winning because she didn’t get a chip. Is it because she’s pretty? Or her charisma?
