raggedy-smith Just wait till it's been 20 years or more. I still remember buying my first Nirvana EP, the single with Sliver and Dive just on a whim one day well before they got big. Can remember being excited for Incesticide lol. Of course the 90's was a great time for music. Lots to be excited for in so many different genre's. Time passes super fast once you're out of high school so make the most of it.

I remember back when Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous was just worn out on the radio being two or three times on the way to school and on the way back from school everyday for over a couple of months I'm pretty sure and that's being very lenient with the time! I never understood why this song didn't get no where near that much airtime it was way better, and it was cool of Matt and Synyster to help out by being in the song because they had already started getting quite a bit of recognition by that time along with the fact that they made that song what it was with their parts without taking all the shine away from GC which earns them more respect from me!

I love this Good Charlotte song!

You can tell how skilled of musicians M. Shadows and Synyster Gates are because of how they didn't just show off the whole time. They could have easily stolen the show, but they adapted to the genre and the band and killed it with simplicity, especially on Syn's part. He could've just swept arpeggios that whole time, but he just gave a simple, melodic solo.

+CallsignSlate - Many of Syn's solos with A7X are melodic, even some of the more technical ones. He usually doesn't just try to show off (for example sweeping during a ballad would be showing off), and he just does what fits the song the best.

Synester Gates is a god among men. Good God that solo

I like that Synyster Gates puts a very modest and expressive fitting solo for the song and not anything super shreddy like he would normally do for A7X. He served the song. Classy 😎👌🎸

In 2024 the context of this song really feels like someone who saw a Diddy party and decided to hang out with Katt instead.

People in the comments are hating towards Synyster Gates' solo at the end of the song, it is a pop-punk song. Good Charlotte is a pop-punk band and the pacing is way different from a normal Avenged Sevenfold song. He couldn't just rip open a face melter and it just fit in with the song. I thought the solo sounded fine with the song.

I'm not really into christian music and such but I gotta admit this song's real catchy. Even though Matt's voice is really raspy he still sings amazing. The fact that Shads and Gates are in this makes it a damn good song. In my opinion all you gotta do to make ANY song of ANY genre better is if you add more A7X :D

I dont get how Christian music is even a genre... to be honest it JUST the lyrics that are about chritianity. Lyrics dont define the song. The way the song is played by tge band defines the song. Lyrics could be about, God, a goat, a lego, or death of a best friend. There's a difference between story, and genre of a song. If it sounds nice listen to it, if it doesnt, don't.

Yeah, there is very little music from Christian bands that I find appealing, and this song is one of the few. Synyster Gates is fucking awesome! They should have had Zacky on too, so they could have a rad guitar duel for the solo.
