I like how the brake rotor fasteners are Torx. Much better torque application than hex with less marring!

The stock R1M wheels are actually pretty light since they are magnesium, so the difference to carbon fiber is closer than other manufacturer’s cast aluminum wheels.

Badass that they're carbon fiber but honestly the factory wheels look better, pattern wise.

Wish I were an American for this Bike!!!! Going to be FANTASTIC I can see, like they aren't already!! Those rim's are Beautiful, Have those same Valve stems, about all I could afford, Ha Ha Ha, No I have quite a lot of mods, fav's are the Lightech Chain Adjusters, I'm Fussy about having it clean and kept the correct tension. Update: BST 5 x split spoke wheels , about 1.5 to 2 Lbs lighter in the front and 7 Lbs lighter for the rear. Biggest weight savings was in the sprocket and carrier.

Nope. During braking, majority of the weight is on the front, so front brakes do most of the work. Rear brake isn't used for stopping, used for slowing down.

@@pipeline3609 The rear brake is still needed though and reducing the disk surface area to what appears to be around 50%, for anything other than hard breaking seems a little counter intuitive to limit your braking ability by any means

@@adamhallwood5768 Yeah but even reducing material by 50% doesn't limit the rear brakes ability to slow the rear wheel down. The point is to reduce rotational mass to increase acceleration. Under hard braking, front brake does 90% of the work, the rear brake just slows the rear wheel speed down to keep both wheel speeds relatively the same. Keep in mind that they are also upgrading the front brakes to brembo rotors & callipers so overall braking power is increased. Also the rear carbon wheel with new sprocket, disk, and chain will weigh less and will be easier to slow down than stock wheel with stock rotor and parts.

The feeling when the things they put on today almost cost more than my bike xD

I think the rotobox wheels look terrible. You really should go with the forged Marchesini wheels. There is a reason all the top MotoGP and Superbike teams use them.

I guess I just don't get it. 2 1/2 pounds at a cost of over 3K is a waste. The rider can lose 2 1/2 pounds and save the 3K IMO.

The 2.5 pounds is just the front wheel, you also save around 10 pounds on the rear wheel , and no if a rider loses the same weight you will not get the same performance, rotating mass is 3 times more effective in increasing performance versus regular weight that the engine isn’t exerting energy to rotate

Love the bike, love the series but those wheels look like stir fried $&@? God awful ugly, spokes tooo wide, the black is better for this color scheme but those wheels are just big and clunky looking.

Those wheels are TRASH.

I wouldn't trust wheels made in china...
