I studied in TCV Bylakuppe in the early nineties. The situation then was the worst. Lots of bullying by the older guys in the home. But I guess it is not the same now. I can relate to your son when he says he wants to go home. I can remember my own time there in Bylakuppe. It’s not easy for the kid as much as it is not easy for the parent to leave the kid in the care of someone away from you. But trust me, TCV does really good in terms of building up an individual. I hope your son makes the most of his life and enjoy his school. Good luck to your son for the new chapter of his life.

🎉from my experience in my past school life ,the more far school is from home then it's better for our children. Children can study much better once he or she will be far From parents and home . Their mind will be more focused on studies.

Last moment brother said true line going in new place new lifestyle. it is very difficult to adapting with different people ,when I was leaving Nepal I did not cry but when I came in France now almost 6 months I still cry most of the time .I also used to stayed all the time with family dad and mom .so it’s very difficult.mostly when you don’t have any one in new place .when I try to make some documents paper and it’s not happening I cried alots ..I am sure he will slowly manage everything and he is getting chance to learn about life far from family .best wishes to him :)

Your son is very mature and understanding for his age. He didn’t complain or give you a hard time about going to the school. You should be very proud of him. Being a mother it's very painful to send your child in boarding school for the first time as i went through this condition last year but after one year it's normal for the children so be strong

Tibetan parents living in India feel sad as their children go to school. When I was in Tibetan areas, my parents were happy for me to go to school early.

I got so emotion watching this. because it remind me my daughter went to boarding school. many years ago. it’s not good feeling sending our kids to boarding school. but sometimes we don’t have choice in life.

Perfect timing and good decision plus situation of family. You guys are doing great. All the best and enjoy school life. One of the best moments and memories in life is school life. Be strong Ama and Apa . I also went through like that when I drop my daughter at school I cried a lot and I stayed near school for weeks and month . Whenever I talk to my daughter on phone , she cried and around her people also cried and other side me also cried a lot . That was very painful. That time I have no choice too . That was my best decision for her future. Now finished her school and college. 🌎✌️❤

It will take time but it will be ok soon. I went to boarding school when I was age of 6. I learned lots of thing from TCV. And now I stay alone in Europe and far from family. I use to go holiday to meet my family But I don’t cry I felt like I am so strong Woking with another country. And very easy to deal with people. I am sure he will become so 💪. Don’t worry. Btw don’t go meet him to much for awhile. You guys will see when we came back to holiday. He will make foot himself that’s for sure. 😊
