Finally something we truck drivers can take to California

Not necessarily talking about Byrna, but I think these manufacturers have overlooked a very important demographic---Women! A lot of the launchers with all companies are too big and bulky for either concealed carry or for women's much smaller hands. I ordered the T4E Walther for my wife and it was absolutely too big for her hands, she couldn't even reach the trigger. I wound up giving her my HDR 50 as it was easier for her to hold. In short I think whoever could bring these to market the quickest would do quite well

I totally agree with the issue of size. I guess it's a challenge since it has to hold the cylinder.

Less lethal options to meet your needs. Really like the evolution of this pistol-format launcher line. Great job!

@@noobt4eguns They advertise 340 FPS which with a 3g projectile comes to 16 Joules. Maybe it could get a little more with something heavier.

Just purchased Byrna LE hope I made the right choice. I was planning on purchasing a gun but I have young ones still at home, and don’t want to have any lethal accidents. Why can’t I use pepper balls in California when they can sell Pepper spray? I can buy a lethal gun with ammo no problem, but I can’t use pepper balls?!?!

Now this is what I'm talking about, I will absolutely be purchasing both of these. I still wish that LE had a little bit more power, but man, I'm looking forward to these two launchers. Great job!

@@joequinbrownsr2414 You know how I feel about their rifles. I've never been real happy with them jacking up that price and reproducing the same item with a different name. I've always thought they should stick with the pistols, which is what makes them great. I'm really looking forward to these two. Now if they were to come out with their own rifle that would be another story. The one thing I can say about Byrna is I absolutely trust their products. They had some hiccups there in the pandemic but they came back strong.

@@CeeWorld69 around 30 joules would be perfect and my 22 semi-auto pistol is way more than 30 joules. I own plenty of real guns. I just want to knock down power of a less lethal to really knock someone down

I would really like to see them 12 gauge ammo as soon as possible with all the different inside goodies also would be nice to see some new inside goodies developed... Thanks good job!

Please test the byrna, pepperballs on soft surfaces like jerseys or jackets to see if they pop, and release pepper, because all the tests is done on people with t shirts, or hard surfaces, what's the use u buy one and it don't pop

I can see this as a weak home defense tool, but i cant see conceal carrying this without having a ton of problems to go along with it.

There shouldn't be a Good, Better, Best..... They should all be the best.

Byrna needs to offer Holsters that actually hold a launcher that has attachments! I dont understand how you dont already have this available...

They carried them on their website a few years ago. Should be included. A nylon scabbard universal one would work. Plastic or polymer holster would cost them a few dollars to make, 9mm compacts were $239 a few years ago. What they cost know who knows?

I just ordered th SD XL and they literally released the LE right after. What is the differences in the SD XL and the new LE?

@@mrfunkingtonI'd say against a knife, this has you covered Hurts like hell to get shot with, and you have a massive range advantage, 7 shots will almost certainly be enough Against an actual gun, you'd probably want something with more bite

I'm getting a .68cal pump action shotgun, 500+ fps, 40 joules, 88g co2 on another customer site while looking to buy the new Bryna LE pistol at I'm understanding 16 joules using aluminum balls. 💪🇺🇲

These damn videos show the gun but not what happens at the target. I do not give a damn how pretty the gun is.

Have a dangerous job where alot of night crew are jumped by homeless drug addicts..happened to one of us last night with a bat.. I ordered the LE over a month ago.. wanted to go less lethal first.. but.. if I don't get it soon.. I will cancel in order to buy a firearm to protect myself.. customer service was not very helpful.. so I'm not impressed now.

While a Byrna may be better than nothing, it may not be much better than nothing against an attacker with pumped-up adrenaline who is intent on killing you. I'll choose lethal.

The majority of gunfights happen inside 7 yards with average of 18 rounds fired with a 20% hit rate. I wouldn't count on a headshot.

The LE is offered in orange or black. I suspect on the consumer side few if any of us will opt for orange. The only ones who will be buying the orange unit is security companies, and companies similar. I suspect the same is true for the three models. Unless tight on cash, I can't imagine anyone choosing a less-powered model. People demand everything with the most power. P.S. Same here, I ordered the LE in black last weekend.

I'm a fan of traditional firearms but my wife wants to start carrying something as the times are getting more and more unpredictable and dangerous. Not sure if I want to get her a real one or one of these. They look pretty bulky so idk think she would actually carry it

BIG QUESTION: do I get busted for pulling and/or using The Byrna??? Where does LE draw the line or do they???

I’m a trucker and I travel coast to coast. My options for self defense seem to be limited by different TSA port locations and varying state laws. What are my options? God bless and keep everyone safe.

I have an HD. My question is what makes the LE more powerful? Is it the 12 gram co2? If so, can't I just buy the 12 gram co2 adaptor for the HD? If it's not that, is there something I can adjust on the HD to increase power output?

the booster does make your HD stronger but the LE is still more powerful

I love byrna a lot have a lot of there launchers and bought for family also , I’m all for the LE byrna if using kinetics, reason I say that is from my experience even the sd at times break pepper when shooting , so my thoughts is with more power may possibly run into that issue more , again that’s only my thoughts and opinion but still like the LE design for me if I purchase the LE I’ll keep it for kinetics and my sd for pepper either way I’m still a #byrna fanatic all for #teambyrna

I'm law enforcement here in Australia, why the hell don't we have an option like this? Will you please contact our Queensland Commissioner and discuss this option.

Very cool. Are you able to remove the boost front portion from the LE model to reduce the overall frame size and simply use the 8 gram Co2 cartridges? If you remove it does it have any performance impact other than reduced number of shots from the 8 gram cartridge vs the 12 gram? Thanks

Still hoping that California will allow consumers to have the pepper ball to have at home.

The Byrna is like a Refined Tipx pistol great for chemical rounds but the real test is kinetic rounds I would say anything less then 30 joules might not be enough. And then there's the weight of the rounds. If it can push at least 5grms at 30J that would be a serious consideration.

Its not true at all in fact 340 fps on a 3g projektile (and that is what i guess they messure their speed with) is around 16joule .. a fsc or tcp pistol can shoot 340 fps on a 8g projektile what is 42joules.. beside u have many more possibilitys to swap barrels out and use differnt projektile to get even higher fps 🤫
