1.2 was meant to be the final update, hopefully they decide to update to 1.5. I hope they add a hallow alternative which can be decided after killing 3 mech bosses (hallow is always on until all 3 are dead.)

Terraria > Minecraft. Not sure if anyone gives a shit, but my reasoning for that statement is: Minecraft was going in a certain direction, once upon a time, then it seems to have got completely lost, while Terraria has steadily kept on, and fulfilled its potential. Yes, I will bring up the hunger update. To me, it seemed like up to that point Minecraft wanted to be an aesthetically simple but pleasing, creative building game with some light action elements. Then it jumped the shark. It added a ton of RPG elements it didn't need, and didn't really create substantial content to justify the features. Enchanted tools? What for, you're still gonna be digging out the same boring old ores. Ditto for weapons and armour. The whole game has like what, 2 bosses, and a handful of unique biomes. In Terraria, there is a steady feeling of progress, of your efforts getting you somewhere and allowing access to more challenges and content to explore. In Minecraft, all these half-baked RPG mechanics have no real purpose. You can gather a fuckton of the rarest ore in the game, beat the more difficult of its two bosses, build a pyramid out of said ore, and what do you get? A weak buff in a 5 feet area around your structure. Gee, thanks, that really gives me a sense of accomplishment, and totally doesn't make me feel like I wasted precious hours of my life on nothing. People keep saying comparing Minecraft and Terraria is unfair since they're completely different games, but I don't reckon so. Minecraft has dabbled enough in the whole action-RPG genre to be judged on similar grounds to Terraria, and sadly, it doesn't measure up. Sure, if you wanna build huge imposing replicas of stuff and what have you, Minecraft is right up your alley, but you're gonna be doing that in creative mode. Survival in the meantime really feels empty and lifeless compared to Terraria.

Spoder Men Terraria's 2D nature does limit building, though I've seen some very neat stuff built in it. And yes, even the biggest Terraria map is far smaller than a Minecraft world, but that doesn't bother me much, there is still plenty to find underground, and the varied biomes make it fun. I think what I find the most enticing about Terraria though is the loot and items to find. Minecraft is an okay game, but I got bored of exploring after a while, and I think I kinda lack the creativity (and patience) to start gigantic building projects, which is probably why I ultimately started playing Terraria instead.

Tyrone Tumbaga He didn't say he hates it, just that Minecraft and Terraria have different merits, and I can agree with him on that. I just personally like Terraria more because it feels more lively and active, but I used to play Minecraft for quite a long time back in the day.

I love these trailers are pure gameplay and not any over used effects or anything

I honestly can't believe how popular this game has gotten. Back when 1.1 first came out, there was only 1 million copies sold. Come 1.2, that number tripled to 3 million copies. And now, almost one year after 1.3? *More than **_12 million_**.* That just shows how good this game is.

Note that the trailer for the Xbox One & PS4 editions had "Over 9 million copies sold" Just to point that out :P

five years, damn it feels like yesterday.

It makes me feel kinda old that 1.3 came out 7 years ago, i remember playing on my xbox 360 (RIP as it got the red death circle) and being to scared to fight any bosses. I just want to say thank you, to Red, Cenxx, Skiphs, Leinfors(R.I.P You will be missed), everyone for making an amazing game where it has evolved so much, and hopefully continues to do so. And also to Terraria KZreadrs like Chippy, Terrasteel, AdamChromeE, Sockrteez, and many others for each helping build up this amazing community.

Looks absolutely amazing! Can't wait to play it :D

I started playing Terraria recently and I'm really glad I did, it's such an awesome game! Looking at this trailer made me realize how far this epic game came. Well done Re-Logic and keep up the amazing work, really hyped for the 1.4 update!

It's been 2 years and 5 moths ever since the time i started playing Terraria Still till this day i play it sometimes. I know that feeling of playing for the first time will never come back but keep having building goals makes Terraria good!

Tássio Rodrigues they have gotten a combat revamp - now they can also aid you in combat. that is really good in invasions, especially i like the funny elder gentleman, which is also a new NPC. (not counting the "travelling" bone NPC)

On 0:42 you can see that he's wearing dinosaur like armor, which in theory, comes from the fossil ore you see at 1:06 if you have an eagle eye. Also, at the "darkness grows" part, you can see what looks like, an entrance into the underground sand biome. The reason it's all purple is because it's likely it's been taken over by the hallowed. Hope I gave you some insight c:

Out of all the terraria trailers, this one still hypes me up the most.

nearly 9 years ago... i remember how incredibly hype it was, anticipating all of this to come out. i was 12 then. this game has grown up alongside me.

This trailer is 5 years old and it still is one of the best in my opinion

almost five years, and still we all continue to play with 1000 hours beating the game with every mod that has been made.
