See the complete "new and original song" series here!
If anything, you've demonstrated the limited permutations of the pop rock formula, especially when all songs are in 4/4
The amount of people that think this is supposed to be taken as a serious plagiarism accusation is hilarious
I truly have never cared if any song "ripped off" any other. If it sounds good, then it sounds good. If everything had to be 100% original then there would basically be no new art at all.
For everyone who is arguing on whether it's plagiarism or not, that is not the point. The title is a joke, just enjoy a really good mashup with a bunch of songs perfectly fitted together.
I think it’s about time that we as a collective come to terms with the fact that millions of songs share the same chords and rhythms.
why are people genuinely agruing about plagiarism under a mashup that uses songs from Inscryption, Yakuza, Guilty Gear and samples the amogus guy it should be clear by then that the title isn’t serious at all.
Thought it was a solid 7/10 mashup until you busted out the inscryption soundtrack, instantly escalating it to a 11/10 with a status of BASED
this is an accurate representation of what happens in my brain when i get a song stuck in my head which reminds me of another song which reminds me of another song which reminds me of another thing and then they all just play at once like my brain has 14 tabs open and is currently opening another three
I think people seem to be missing that this person just has this naming convention for their brand of (baller) song mash ups while using one song as the main base
“Sussy”-opath gave me whiplash I’ve never experienced in my life. 11/10
"Wait so are they plagiarizing?"
This mix is unironically so good
Expectation: getting a video that proves the plagiarism accusations
As someone who likes Paramore, Green day, MSI and Taylor Swift, I knew there was something about this song that I liked
This is a duet between the girl who just dumped her guy and the girl who just fell in love with the same guy
why the fuck is this the hardest thing i’ve ever heard
It's crazy how you can put a bunch of songs together to sound like one song. It works.
Gotta say I love how these mashups sort of both point out the similarities between songs accused of plagiarism, and then add in like 50 more songs to lampoon the idea that they're truly derivative of a single other song and show that there's a huge spectrum of songs that have various similarities. Some people get way too concerned about originality. The most important thing is to make some fuckin' bangers, and this is a hell of a banger
Fun fact: you cannot copyright genre conventions or chord progressions.
