    First of all, I think a man should have respect for anybody especially a lady using fowl language in their presence. I am a Christian and even if I weren't one, I would respect using any kind a language, especially curse words in front of a lady. That's my opinion. Thanks for the videos Bob! Have a great Sunday my friend!😊😊

    Several members of The Waltons cast were recently in Kentucky doing a meet and greet event with fans. As for Francis, George Lindsey said in later years she was his favorite TAGS and Mayberry R.F.D. cast member so he must have forgiven her at some point.

    One of my favorite episodes is "Aunt Bea, the Warden". I wonder if those names were associated with the episodes when they were filmed or did they come later?

    i read a quote once from howard sprague actor jack dobson where he stated the men in the cast would often swear in front of frances bavier just to get a rise out of her. i never liked the character of howard and i lost a lot of respect for dobson after reading that. on one of the tbs reunion show specials he made fun of the anonymous actor who portrayed mr.schwamp s hairpiece and dentures and supposed lack of acting talent. i thought that was a very low blow. .

    I think that was a TAGS reunion show on Phil Donahue's talk show. The one thing I wish Donahue or a member of the audience would have asked Dodson if he remembered the name of the actor who played Mr. Schwamp. It was a missed opportunity. My guess is he didn't remember because all the cast members who have been asked had no recollection of his name.

    She shouldn't have hit him with her umbrella. But that doesn't excuse his foul language either. Cussing in front of a woman is considered in very bad taste. Colonel Sanders admitted doing the same thing. One time a minister got on to him about his language. He apologized, then fussed at the minister for smoking. Hopefully George did forgive her. That's nice you got to meet a Walton. Did you read her book? The pilot was her first acting job. She told about doing dinner scenes. It makes you wonder why more dramas don't use the three camera setup like sitcoms.

    Barney gets him and Andy mixed up with the fun girls and get stuck taking them back to Mt Pilot, meanwhile they're seen by Helen and Thelma Lou who cancels their date to the dance with the boys and get a hold of Gomer and his cousin Goober , Barney gets a hold of the fun girls , at the dancers they make up with their girls and the fun girls end up with Gomer and Goober,the only time we see Gomer and Goober together until Goober visits Gomer in the Marines.

    @@johnharris3362 huh, I'm extremely familiar with that whole episode "other than" the Goober appearance part? Idk why I didn't seem to remember that part? Probably because I've seen so much I don't really care much for it and never watch it anymore when it comes on. I'm not and haven't been a TV person in years but I do watch TAGS on Pluto tv and they've played that particular episode into the ground so I turn it off when it comes on now but thanks for your reply, I'll now actually remember it as the Goober episode also 😂

    He didn’t blow up at her, so I doubt that George Lindsay was serious about his resentment. Most of the guys I hang with are smart alecks. They would be delighted to embarrass a square Karen like Ms. Bavier. I don’t think that attitude is rare. I can also see what she did as an attempt to fit in. If she disliked George Lindsay, she would have ignored him.

  • @jimibmore
    @jimibmore8 ай бұрын

    I don't care what was said. No person should ever inflict harm on another unless it was life threatening. She had no right to do that. She could just as easily pulled him aside and demand that he stop the foul language in her presence. I've read about other incidents involving her in books and it seems she has a mean streak just like Andy. Which is probably why they did not get along.

    I remember growing up with adults from her generation, the people from that time period seemed to usually react with some form of a attention getter then proceeded to chew your ass out unmercifully afterwards.

    Goober should of watched his mouth a little better, but Aunt Bea shouldn't of whacked him with that umbrella. From what I understand, she didn't mix well with many of the cast members. Even though she had a major part in the success of the Andy Griffith Show, she never fit with many of the rural type characters on the set.

    google ' "Andy Griffith Takes a Shot at the Trombone | Carson Tonight Show" and "Andy Griffith on Letterman 1985" for two interesting video clips. could you do a bio on actor - singer sir lancelot who lived nearly 100 years. his last screen appearance was on TAGS! he also appeared in 3 of the all time best horror films; all produced by val lewton and released in the 40's : i walked with a zom,bie + curse of the cat people + the ghost ship (one of about 3 films with that same title). he also apeared in brute force which is often considered the best ever prison action movie. he was in the all time classic humphrey bogart film to have and have not.
