    One of the greatest games in NCAA tournament history. Competitive, high-scoring game throughout, it went into damn overtime, and a buzzer-beater finish. Just amazing.

    Absolutely. This thing had you on the edge of your seat all game. Both teams were well deserving of the win and it took a miracle shot at the buzzer to decide it. Let’s hope the final remotely lives up to this.

  • @user-gh9si3po8t
    @user-gh9si3po8t3 жыл бұрын

    That Suggs block and pass sequence and last shot are his shining moments. Lets not forget about Mark few. He has developed a program by seeking players who are fearless, competitive, love to run the floor, and seeking the perfect pass. The instincts and actions of this team are a reflection on him and the program. I have been encouraging my son to watch this unique team exhibit how a team should play. None of this is possible without the guidance and encouragement of Mark few. In pressure moments, they didn't need time outs. They just played with the intelligence and freedom Mark has encouraged all season. Ucla was spectacular. Gonzaga's fundamentals and some heroics withstood the test of a nearly perfect game played against them. Baylor cannot play good and win. They will need to bring their A game. What an awesome ending to a horrible year of struggles. Lets enjoy Monday. I know nobody was thinking about covid or politics during this thriller. Just about a group of young men showing the determination and character that makes America special. I am so proud this morning to say I am a basketball maniac, a Gonzaga fan, and a very proud and happy American. I hope people in our country and around the world will set aside the recent polarization and tragic events to see what really makes America special. Only in America!

    Really, believe he meant to bank that shot. He over shot it, and we’ll. UCLA, eleventh seed , with plenty of phantom fouls called early on them. They should be proud they played the way their coach and Wooden would like, great game, no seniors and thank you for a great game. You embarrassed all those sports announcers that didn’t give you a shot. They should be embarrassed, you beat 1 Michigan and 2 Alabama and almost defeated, undefeated Gonzaga...Congrats keep your head high...this will go down as one great game. Thanks again...UCLA...

    Phantom calls? Juzeng was pushing off the entire gsme and never once was it called. In my opinion, they were underranked. No way should they have been an 11. I'd say a 5 or maybe even a 3. They couldnt miss. Even Riley, who hardly scored all year, was hitting 15-foot jumpers. That coach did a heck of a job, but phantom calls is more than a stretch. Thats a flat-out lie.

    In recent years you’re 100 percent right , that Nova Vs Unc game was amazing. Both these games up there with the best of them . As far as Craziest endings though , gotta be the Fab 5 with the infamous Timeout. Most classic was Christian Laetner vs Kentucky. My all time personal favorite tho , was back in 2006 or 2008 something like that , When Calipari was still at Memphis and had D Rose , where they were beating Kansas in the Championship late , but Kansas came back in the final minutes , and I’m pretty sure Mario Chalmers hit a Game Winner to win the title. And honorable mention, that rarely gets mentioned , Butler vs Duke ? Where they almost hit a half court shot to end the game , it was so close , if it went in , it would have been the greatest game ever , but just cause Butler didn’t win , doesn’t mean it wasn’t a hell of a championship . Those the main ones come to mind at the top of my head , I’m probably forgetting about several other ones

    "A controversial charge call with one second remaining in regulation had UCLA fans furious at Lucas Oil Stadium. Bruins Johnny Juzang was driving to the lane with the score tied at 81 and appeared to draw contact from Gonzaga defenders, but Drew Timme drew a charge call." I saw the play from different screen angles. Johnny went to his left around Drew. In one frame you can see both Johnny's shoulders and the ball past Drew. Drew looked like he put his hand on Johnny's right shoulder and pushed off to make it look like he was pushed. Tough call for the refs.. Any given day the call or score could have gone a different way. I have coached many sports for many years. Know you guys are winners. But more important you did your best. The best team does NOT always win. There'd be little incentive to play the game if that were the case. In a sport that features bad foul calls, foul trouble, airballs, clock mismanagement, stepping on sidelines, walks, double dribbles, flagrant fouls one and two etc, etc. Situations affecting both great and mediocre players, NO, the best teams do not always win. Look no further than this tourney for proof of that.

    The UCLA Bruins. Great history! Great tradition! Ten point underdogs in the 2021 Final Four against the undefeated number one team in the nation!: Gonzaga! The Bruins were expected to get done in and dusted the same way Baylor dusted Houston! Uh, NO!!! The UCLA Bruins had Gonzaga against the ropes time after time after time! UCLA showed that mighty Gonzaga was VULNERABLE!! They forced an overtime after nearly eliminating Gonzaga at the end of regulation! Then the ten point underdogs forced undefeated Gonzaga to heave a desperation shot at the overtime buzzer to salvage their perfect, top-ranked season, and mighty Gonzaga was only saved by a prayer! You have nothing to be sad about, UCLA! That was one of the greatest efforts by a double-digit underdog Final Four team in history! John Wooden would be extremely proud of you! 4REAL!

    Ppl keeps looking at the Seed. The seed is irrelevant. It's how that Seed played. And UCLA played their lights out. Everyone pitched in. What lost UCLA the game was Johnny Juzang last play in Regulation(Might have been the coach idea) tried to draw a foul for a easy 1, or 2 point win in regulation. He should have just pulled up with a small jumper instead. But, it still went down to last sec shot to win it. So, even making that big mistake didn't really hurt them in the long run.
