Everything about this movie is perfect. The casting, the soundtrack and the whole story. Another great film from David Fincher. Personally I dislike it when books are turned into movies. Very rarely I will enjoy and be happy with the movie adaptation as most movies just don't get it right and end up ruining the whole thing. Dark, smart, intense, thrilling, sexy and manipulative movie which shows and explores complexities of life, marriage, media, friendships and psychology. It is a phenomenal ride from start to end, it keeps you guessing who and why and when, always respects the audience, and doesn't leave loose ends. Writing is great, cinematography is gorgeous, direction is stunning, cast is top notch with Rosamund Pike being the best she's ever been. My only minor issue is that maybe they went overboard little bit in the end. Nevertheless Gone Girl is one of the best films this year, GO SEE IT. 4,5/5.

I still think that there are loose ends. That how come Amy gets away with the murder of desi Because how come no one tracked Desi's movement after she murdered him. The CCTV in his cottage has evidence that she was very comfortable with him when he brought her. It's just very frustrating the more you think about it

Yes also if he kidnapped her then whete is cctv footage? He brought her 8 days after and she was chilling there for 2 days.. cctv didn't caught that? And how she became expert in murdering? She didn't seem terrified or anything its like its her 10th murder. And how come she toned down her body in 1 day.. she was fat one day before then she became 0 figure again.

I remember first seeing this trailer just before I began reading the book, and thought it was pretty good. But once you've read the book or have seen the movie you realize it's absolutely brilliant, and one of the best trailers for a movie I've ever seem. It seemingly tells you what the plot of the movie will be, when in reality it gives away very little of what the story actually is. While most trailers seem to give away the entire plot, this is one that hides it's cards and will leave the audience truly surprised when they see the film.

I really enjoyed the book. The film was even better though. David Fincher confirmed himself as a genius. All the actors were so good. Rosamund Pike, especially, really deserves an Oscar for her portrayal of Amy Dunne. She was so scary! I haven't actually seen "Still Alice" yet, so I can't judge Julianne Moore's performance. However Rosamund gave one of the most impressive performances of 2014 imo.

If only she had sticked with her original plan, I would’ve LOVED the movie. But again, amy is a really sociopath.
