As a Steelers fan, still hurts to this day.
Always a little sad when these get posted, but they're always done so well. Thanks NFL Films!

Oh sure it's a far more consistent and trustworthy brand compared to the NFL. Good lord Jerry Jones looks bad with those cheerleaders, Snyder and drunk Elway too.
God bless 'em all. Demaryius Thomas passing away was shocking. Madden was part of my childhood and taught me a lot about the game just by watching his analysis and broadcasts. All of the folks in this video were great and had a wonderful effect on the game. May they all Rest In Peace.
John Madden was probably one of the best influences on football in the modern day, his coaching, broadcasting and the Madden game is a major reason I enjoy football as much as I do today

As a Raider fan I broke down inside when I saw that Madden passed away. That game after his passing of the Raiders vs Colts had me crying when the Raiders won it at the closing seconds.
Rest In Peace to all. Thanks for all your contributions to the game of football
Wish madden got more love the guy was a real legend. Not many people have done what he has. Won at every stage of his career and been the best at it. Coach, broadcaster and the game we all know and love. Special accomplishments from a special man
John Madden was the first voice I remember from TV. It was his cameo in the Little Giants
MartyBall! Grind them into the damn dirt! Love ya coach RIP
Rip 🪦🕊 you will all be missed your legacy will life forever
As a Bronco fan, I cried when DT passed. He was one of the first players that made me fall in love with football.

it was a tough year regarding the legends of your team, 4-5 losses listed. DT was a form of art on the field
Amazing how many were still young men. RIP Team

@doesnot matter …. It’s a validated fact that a NFL Career shortens life spans. 3 Members of the 1972 Miami Dolphins 🐬 undefeated SB VII TEAM, Jim Kick, Nick Buoniconti & Mercury Morris passed with in 16 months of each other & autopsies revealed all 3 had the advanced stages of CTE. The new rules will increase life quality & spans

@@robertnewell4054, no, the new helmets will..because provably the great NFideL lied about those cheap shells the players wore in the 1950's-1990's, and the lawsuit settlement with the victims' families proves that.
Love You! John. Now God has a football coach, broadcaster, comedian, caricature and food critic to make him laugh for eternity.
I have so much respect for these great men. Legends, truly. My Sgt always quotes Marty's "There's a gleam men.. let's the get the gleam"
Love ya Coach Marty.
This has to be the one of the greatest if not the greatest season in the nfl, with records being broken, Eric, Andrew, Tom and Ben retiring. To me this is a legendary season that never might be topped. Rip #88 and John Madden.

Tom had a change of heart.
Thanks, NFL. I didn't need my heart today. Losing Madden, Huff and Fassel took the dickens out of me last year.
David Patton made that exact same touchdown catch two weeks in a row. Drew Bledsoe threw him the perfect pass in the AFC championship game on the same route that Tom Brady threw in the Super Bowl. Thank you, David.
I still can’t believe DT is gone. It still feels surreal to me.😔
Rest in peace Marty Schottenheimer can't forget big Claude Humphreys for the Philadelphia Eagles and Irv cross from CBS NFL and to all the football greats rest in peace
Football has been a lot emptier without John Madden. Ever since he retired, there was always something missing. He will surely be missed greatly.

I still can't believe DT is gone. 😔💔
NFL Films: Gone But Not Forgotten used to show the year born & died (ex: 1930-2021) so that you could get a sense of the person’s age at (usually) his death. Please bring that back.
Sad. To see the young and old pass away. Life is not promise for tomorrow.
Madden was the hardest of all these. He was a legend in not only the football world but a sports legend. You will be missed John. Wish I was old enough to have gotten to listen to you call games

A great JAGUAR in RAM's clothing..
Beautiful video, even teared up a little.
NFL Films should be recognized at the Oscars. Such quality work from age of old - If you do @NFL Flims, make sure I'm there!
We will always have that gap in our hearts for John madden we will always treasure great memories
Marty Schottenheimer should be in the Hall of Fame. Every team he coached got better, save his one season with Washington. 200+ regular season wins is better than most of the coaches already in Canton, but his less than stellar playoff record is keeping him out.
Thank You NFL 🙏🏾
Rip John madden legend
They are never forgotten and the memories will last forever rip legends live on
RIP to all of those who we have lost! See you on the other side!
Watching T hese clips ........ your kind of sad .....but then u smile ........I Remember Sports Illustrated Had An Annual Issue For All Sports Folks Who we lost the previous Year
I quoted Madden's line in The Replacements to my wife for her to remember him. She remembers him from the video game.
It’s crazy to think how much further John Madden has pushed football’s notoriety. RIP to an all time legend
Let’s honor them to show future generations about the original hall of famers
May they rest in peace and may their memories be a blessing
I know it may be a long shot but i want to see DT #88 in the HOF one day. Even Payton called him a HOF player.
real lotta NFL stars passed away holy rest in peace
The Greats 🥲. May they all rest in peace.
Rest In Peace

Man I miss DT he's the best wr for the broncos in my opinion even though he doesn't have the rings like Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey who I grew up watching and made me loves the broncos dt was just a beast I'll never forget Tebow to Thomas then getting their ass kicked by the pats the following week
Jim Fassell just never really seemed to age over 45 for some reason….😂😂🤣….R.I.P to all the ones we’ve lost…👌🏾❤️💔….#MADDEN
RiP OG’z D Thomas was definitely a shock
I did not get to witness these greats but I will still love football anyway
Never forget that moment when Tebow threw to Thomas for the game winner in overtime.
John madden was the best, i miss you coach may you RIP amen.
Freddie Joe Nunn was actually our family friend's brother. Nobody will ever have a legacy like Madden; a sports analyst that has the most sought after sports games of all time and that was solely based on his analyst career?! That simply does not happen! It would be like Al Michaels or Joe Buck having a game franchise! Marty averaged 9.79 wins a season. Maybe they didn't win the big one, because he was too conservative? Or, maybe it was that fumble in Cleveland or that Elway had a knack for being Montana in the AFC playoffs as a youngster? Or the season where LT gets hurt in the playoffs or them facing NE multiple times? Still, it would have been a real feel good story had he won 1 like Elway finally got to do...

Madden is (his legend remains) the best ambassador a sport could ask for. It was the first football name heard by many in different ways and generations, and I'm proud to say that his name was the first I've heard as a fan of the game

John Madden made football what it is today 😢❤
Madden taught you about tenacity when life gives you challenge; from Injury to a Hall Of Fame Coach that migrated to the Booth and helped create a computer game that is 2nd to NONE! If you want to know what Silver & Black is about??? Commitment to Excellence. -Thank you Coach...thank you.
