Getting reversed 3-0'd when he was up 3 stocks to 1 in game 3 is the most Mang0 thing ever.

The end of game 3 is exactly why a player like Cody is outperforming Mang0 rn. Simultaneously it is also one of the reasons Mang0 is more loved than Cody... he does not just play it safe.

I wore a huge smile on my face when they switched to the camera feed. Kept that smile for the whole game. Good on ya GOML production for not panicking in the scramble!

I do believe top players are not getting worse, but everyone else is getting better at a much faster rate and reaching the skill ceiling sooner. The game is always full of surprises and the lore will always be ripe.

Jmook is definitely the most disciplined of all the high level smash players

The pause was unfortunate, but you can't say that's the reason Mango lost. Let's not forget that he was up 3 stocks to 1 in game 3 and it looked over for Jmook. If anything, we should be commending Jmook's composure, not many players would be able to hold it together like that.

Holding production accountable for their mistake so they don't interfere with an already going set in the future is all anyone is trying to accomplish. Same with how production was dumb to put the decision on Moky if the game should be replayed when Jmook had controller problems before.

There’s arguments on both sides I feel like. Top players always talk about momentum, and how important it is to their current mental state. Production on the other hand should handle stuff better yes, but technology is finicky and just fails from time to time. I feel like nobody wins here.

Mang0’s so sad after that man, you can see it all over his face. Good stuff to Jmook tho. The 3 stock comeback on game 3 and a reverse 3-0 to finish it. I will say it is a little jank tho they had to take a break mid set. I can imagine that would mess with your nerves a little in a high pressure top 8 set like this lol

Great set from Jmook! For everyone b"ching around bout the pause: Mango is a pro, even though it could break his momentum, that's something that could happen and if it affects him, it's gonna be used against him, cause everyone can "stall" in between games (Wizzrobe kinda used to do this on the past).

i think commentators that are incredibly biased towards mango should not be able to commentate his sets

When your playing at this level you can't account things like this as a reason for a win or loss. As you may recall even after the "break" (which was actually technical difficulties out of the players control) Mang0 was up three stocks to one. The game was basically over. Until he gave J a inch and he ended up taking an entire mile and the whole set as well. When Mang0 shakes his head at the end he's not made at J or staff he's mad at himself.

Whatever advantage Jmook received (which is debatable) it cannot account for a 3-1 stock reversal followed by a reverse 3-0. Mind you the same way wizzrobe took breathers in between games Mang0 could have asked for a small break as well. It's not the reason he lost this set bro.

Shine and up throw up air are both 5000x more stupid than chain grabbing or tech chasing too. If you don't want chain grabs or tech chasing go play ultimate

If you have been a top player for almost 20 years now like Mang0 and you still can’t keep your composure or stick to your winning game plan just because of a 2 min break in the set you don’t deserve to win shit. That said, I don’t think Mang0 let it affect him and it’s all his fans coping super hard. Melee survives because people pay to see it, the people who are in the crowd probably doesn’t even cover the venue fee so good streaming conditions are absolutely necessary.

I dont care what anyone says. Regrab tech chasing is ruining the game. Without it Jmook is clearly not as good as Mango as a player. It carries him vs spacies
