I’m technically not married but I’m essentially getting divorced right now. 8 years and more shit than most will experience or go through in 20. It’s hard to let go of someone you love but at some point you have to look out for yourself.

Staying single has more advantages than being married, you cannot put a price on freedom! plus, Independence and autonomy. flexibility in lifestyle choices, pursuing new opportunities, time for your own personal hobbies / interests etc... Personal growth freedom to explore relationships, and do what you choose when dealing with money, save it, spend it, invest whatever your heart desires. maybe this lifestyle is not for everyone, but it works for me, and I continue to stay happy & healthy at the ripe old age of 64.
