Basic yardage within a couple of yards accuracy is good enough for me! I often think club Golfers overload themselves with too much information.

Yeah, same 👌🏼

I had the Revarsri and it was very good, I used it for one season and passed it on to a new golfer and 3 years later he's still using it and it still works perfect.

I bought a cheap laser rangefinder, measured out 100 yards using a wheel and placed a couple of cricket stumps at either end. I then checked it with the laser and found it to be within a yard of the calibrated distance, now that's close enough for me as it's not like I can hit my irons to that tolerance :)

100% I had 5 lasers in my bag the other day, and it didn’t bother me which one I chose, that tells you everything.

@@garymartingolf I don't doubt that the top end models are better but who can take advantage of any greater accuracy , I cant as my swing is not consistent enough and I bet it's the same for you as well :)

I bought a Coralov rangefinder over a year ago for about $69 and am well satisfied. !K yard range (like I'll ever need anything over 200-odd yards), slope, and pinfinder vibration. I saw an ad sometime back where someone had them for $49 but I forget where. Slope is nice but, here in Florida, there's not much height variance though it's a nice feature. I've collected a selection of rangefinders over the past few years and I even take out the old Bushnell 400 once in a while, even though it's the size of a pair of binoculars. But, the Coralov is my gamer and that won't change for a while.

I totally get that you're a content creator, so you need to film regularly...but I'm always amazed at the conditions you guys will play in, in the UK 😉 I won't play if the temp is below 50...let alone in the rain 😆

In the UK we have a 90% winter rule to protect the fairways, I used to have my own 10 degree winter rule before I started vlogging. If it’s below 10 degrees, I don’t play! 😂 50!!! You’re spoilt 😄

Excellent review Gary, and good to see a genuine budget product for the golfer who's looking to build their golf on a budget. (Unlike your pal @jamesrobinsongolf who's idea of a budget rangefinder was £299 in a vlog a few months ago) Personally I went for the Shotscope Pro L2 rangefinder that I picked up for £130, but i'd have no problem putting the CIGMAN CT-800 in my bag for that sort of money

I’ve not got a shotscope in our collection, if I can get one for that price, I’ll stick it into the series to see if that little bit more provides and more quality 👌🏼 Really! I’ll not be going shopping with him 😂😅

@@garymartingolf I think the full retail for the @shotscope Pro L2 is £139, but shopping around you can still get them for £130. Sadly James seems to have lost his way, almost all his videos seem like he's trying to punt some golf gear he's being paid to promote. Good on you for getting an average golfers opinion on what's good/bad and what is important to them.

In 2013 I bought a Canon coolshot for €119, discounted from €159, as it was the 2year old model that they couln't sell at my local shop. It's accurate to within 0.5m, AND I'm still using my first battery. 😂

What shot tracer app do u use?

even though I am in Australia, I have been thinking about getting one however I love my Garmin GPS, and as I am very often in the trees or out of position ( other fairway) the laser isn't any good to me whereas the GPS gives me the distance from wherever I am. I am waiting for the rest of your reviews before I decide, hey price is king

Must admit I bought a Bozily Vpro X2 range finder and it's a fairly robust unit which I've had a couple of years and still going strong..... for accuracy it compares with the lads Bushnells so I have no complaints.... will it outlast a Bushnell??? who knows but for the time being all's good 🎊🌟🤩🥳

The course is built within hopton woods in mirfield. Luckily for me that's a bridleway not a road so we dodge horses instead of cars.Something that I failed to do 6 months ago 😂

@@garymartingolfI bought one cheap few years ago and it was impossible to use because of even little hands shaking. Simply I could not catch any flag. So this is why I am asking it it has stabilization. Because of price I would expect some shortcuts. Anyway thanks for great content Gary.

Still think my hole 19 app does the job.

Can't stand that vulcanized rubber stuff on gadgets, it gives an impression of quality but usually just breaks down far too quick into a horrible sticky mess.
