    Hey guys!! I am new to your channel and SO GLAD I found you!! Thank you so much for this cruising episode-I love riding along and seeing the landscape and various villages. I have a couple questions after watching this episode. First, and only because I am terrified of them, you mentioned a “good sized snake” that was run over. What has been your experience or what have you heard from other villagers about snakes? Do they get into your home? Your lanai? How can I avoid experiencing them in my home? I am hoping to move there in about 8-10 years (wish I could sooner!) and trying to do all my homework now! Thanks again for all you do!

    Great video! The onscreen overlays make it very informative and you don't get lost in the monotony of scenery just passing you by. The overlays add a lot of context (speed, aerial surroundings, map, direction, etc.). PS- Did you guys go the wrong way or is it a bypass at 29:52 - 30:13?

    @exploringthevillagesflorida Which camera were you using to film the ride? Were the overlays included with the camera? Also how did you add the google earth follow from above, Is that also part of the camera in edit? I've done lithium battery range tests on my channel for golf carts and would like to add that to the future.

    We use a GoPro 9. The GPS data is collected by the camera, but it needs to be extracted and processed in a separate overlay software. That data can also be processed to import into Google earth to create the follow maps. The process can take several hours with a high end computer, but I think the end product is worth it. all of the pieces are then put together using a good video editing software. Thanks for watching!

My iMac is 27” , but needs updated to edit like you must have..Earth by Google, etc. our Golf cars are electric but old batteries (6). Lithium upgrade would probably be , get a newer Golf cart or CyberQuad option when we get the Cybertruck in 2024…Enjoyed watching your KZread video…I have a number over the years…a short one of me Roller skating my Granddaughter took. Thanks for showing us around on your golf cart and I'm glad you enjoy where you live but when you start referring to Waterfront and the beach you've gone too far. In Florida waterfront refers to either the ocean or the Intracoastal. And the beach refers to Ocean. But if you come from the Midwest and your first stop was straight to the Villages then you are excused for not knowing the difference. Enjoy.

    Can you explain where all the golf cart gas stations are….we are in The Village of Hawkins south of 44….

  • @ExploringTheVillagesFlorida

    @ExploringTheVillagesFlorida

    There are golf cart gas stations at each of the Villages golf cart store that are located in the 3 town squares. You can also get golf cart gas at the Marathon gas station (Blue handle "recreation gas") on the north side of the Chitty Chatty bridge (This may be your closest). Also there is a golf cart gas depot off of Marsh Bend trail about halfway between Edna's and the Waterlily bridge. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

    Do they have Superchargers in the Villages? Or outside their properties? We live in Seminole county the past 50 years, but have friends we visited several years ago. ( in our Avalon). Have a Tesla model 3 and will be getting a model V soon. May plan a visit in March. My wife shot a hole in one in Massanutten, VA on her first golf round. I like the Pitch and put courses.

    There are many more walkers and joggers in the newer villages in the southern section. But there are walkers and joggers allowed on all of the paths throughout The Villages. I think it has just been the time of day that we have been recording. most walkers and joggers are out early in the day or in the evening to avoid the heat. Thanks for watching!

    Each person must decide for themselves if they are comfortable with walking on the path. For those that do, it is recommended to walk towards oncoming golf cart traffic so pedestrians can see what is coming in case the cart does not slow down or move over to avoid the pedestrian. For those that want to walk for exercise but are not comfortable on the multi-modal paths they can walk on the walking paths in some of the neighborhoods or around some of the ponds and preserves.
