Golestan Palace or Golestan Palace is the name of a part of a historical area that was later known as "Royal Citadel of Tehran". This name was taken from a hall in the current Golestan Palace and belonged to the reign of Fath Ali Shah Qajar, which became popular in the era of Naser al-Din Shah under the title of "Blessed Buildings of Golestan" and in the reign of Muzaffar al-Din Shah, it was used in an official manner under the name of Golestan Palace. The history of this palace dates back to before the Qajar period. The first foundation of Golestan Palace in Tehran was laid from the Zandiye period. Golestan Palace was registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2013
