With all the evo crap going on in the game, the Dagger Duchess was definitely what the traditionally heavier beatdown decks needed to make a comeback into the meta. The downside is that now I remember I dont enjoy playing against beatdown.

Yeah princess is good for both but not great, cannoner is amazing vs beatdown but ass vs cycle/control, duchess is amazing vs cycle but ass at beatdown matchups. The free defense on every non tank below 3 elixir is insane

Finally, my boy golem getting some love. I’m surprised I don’t seem him more at lower/mid ranks, considering the current turd meta. People only play like 2 decks, both of which can’t handle more than like 9 elixer thrown at them at a time lol. It’s either bad midladder little prince evo firecracker cycle decks with mega knight, or super cheap hog cycle decks. Both times their only response against any deck on defense no matter what deck I play on is cycle firecracker, spam building, stall with ice spirit every .5 seconds. Breaking news, placing down 1-3 cost cards like you’re tweaking on drugs doesn’t work against anything that actually costs elixir if it has actual support

I knew this deck would be good I have watched a few pros on top using this mainly zodiac boss it’s a very powerful and strong deck rn

Honestly i dont think that the tower is broken and they don't nerf it plus im getting really tired of infinitely playing cycle decks

What do you do against inferno tower with that deck? In my golem deck, using lightning spell and arrows is essential in the obnoxious low/mid ladder meta. You have lighting dragon, but due to how slow it is and that the electricity only arcs 3 times, and that cycle players have literally unlimited resources to stall the dragon, it’s a giant pain in the butt to stall the tower in time even with tornado. With lighting, you can deal with the inferno tower, get tower chip, and take out a key target with one spell (assuming you spend arrows to end the tower unless the golem is already on it). It also beats hog cycles defense, which consists of cycling to 3 firecracker and placing down 2 cannons to drag your golem to the other side of the map, cuz it takes out both towers easy + something else easy. I tried earth quake, but it didn’t do enough damage against things like inferno tower, plus the lightning just no strings attached killing stuff was nice to have. However, my deck wasn’t really designed to just throw a golem down, usually consisted of defending and stalling out until 2x elixir so that I take as little chip as possible, then ending in a push or two before the obsessive hog rider placement as soon as you place golem doesn’t get the best of me

Personally I often use bats (from the night witch, or the actual card) to distract the inferno tower, because you can usually predict where your enemy will place it. Also, zap and evo zap are excellent for resetting the inferno beam when it starts dealing substantial damage

@@JoseMartinez-xi6ib it’s easy to defend hog riders with a golem deck because first of most of them have nado which is a hard counter to hog rider, it’s very easy to defend a hog rider if you have any brain cells but if you make one small mistake against golem you usually lose
