Your like that answer that every one in a room is trying to recall and you’re almost there but the memory keeps elude you and then, (usually when everybody change the subject) the answer bursts in your head-and you scream the answer out, all exited. And everybody go, oh yeah, that thing. Thats the same thing I wanted to say about Goldfrapp, and as I was trying to put the correct words in my head, it would not fit together...and the I came across your comment and was like- YYYYYEASSS, THIS IS IT !! True. Black Cherry is as fresh an album today as it was in '03. To have crafted a dance (I'm not fond of the term _Electroclash_) classic at age 37, especially after the lush, cinematic feel of Felt Mountain, must have been gloriously satisfying. I know only of Madonna's _Ray of Light_ to be another Pop masterwork from an artist nearing middle age.

True, much copied in a sense, but this one is still far more both transgressive and subtle.

Yeah it’s how I found this song too. I remember that year having the most incredible soundtrack. Kasabian were on there. There was a song by The Cooper Temple Clause that got me into them (massively underrated) and I swear Fools Good by The Stone Roses was on there

Only the sexiest video ever. I love everything about this video. The dancing, the playfulness, the Victorian-sex-party feel of the stag-head bits, the lounging around on a shag carpet. A lesson in the forgotten art of hedonism.

I have to say, this is how you do sexy music video RIGHT. Allison is very much in charge here, she's not "just another video ho" like so many other female artists that try to be provocative, she manages to be sexy without being lewd, alluring without being tawdry, and it's clear this fantasy scene is about HER not just pandering to a male audience. Hell she looks like she's having a ton of fun up there.

I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. I was on holiday in the Swiss Alps. Blew me away.

The build up on this track is on fire 🔥 and everything on the video is just damm Sexy 😮 So glad I jumped on that Train back in 2003 😊

I was listening to this in my car yesterday, it has sounds in it that are very close to the sounds of the alarms on my car (which has a million 'safety' alarms). I spent the whole song wondering what was broken or why I was driving so bad.. thanks Goldfrapp

One of my fav videos.

I bought this song as a single when I was so heavily into grunge and nu metal that I had little interest in any other genres. It has such a confident beat; it sort of stamps away like the best dancer on the floor, if that makes any sense. And the video is just perfect for it. I've been a fan ever since this song and I believe it can stand up to any NIN, Rico Capuano, Ministry or other such band. It sort of not only crosses the divide but swaggers over it. Just my opinion.

It makes the song better in a way. At least the mainstream commercial radio didn't get hold of it and play it thru the ground. I can barely stand radio music.
