actually 🤓☝️ the original idea was to include James Bond as a playable character in the original Smash, unfortunately, due to not coming to an agreement with Rare, it couldn't happen. However, the proximity mine remained in smash and that's why it appears exactly as the one in goldeneye. The idea was brought back for the GameCube release buy they ended putting snake from MGS instead of Bond from goldeneye.

What you did here is genius, highly enjoyable and much appreciated by an old guy who spent way too many hours on both of these games

Okay, so get this- Yesterday, my dad was playing Goldeneye 007 and at one point went “The name’s Bond, James Bond.” but in Mario’s voice. That had sparked a short conversation about a Mario/Goldeneye crossover between my dad and I. A couple hours later, I decide to browse Facebook, when suddenly, I came across an article about this very video! I couldn’t believe my eyes! What were the odds of talking about such a concept and it actually existing?? I’m still in shock, lmao!

Not seeing a transition when opening the castle front doors seems so strange, haha.

I was really hoping when you killed the final Bowser that the ending cutscene would be the animation from the ending of Dam, but with Mario jumping into the hole.

Only came across the channel today, binged this all day & my world makes you enjoy Goldeneye in a whole new light, even if I thought knew it all already. This Mario & Goldeneye crossover is something else.

Haha thanks but that's for Egyptian, the level this replaces. I don't think it's physically possible to complete this in 1m27s. :P My best time on Facility 00 Agent is 1m23s iirc.

The game we never knew we wanted until now. This is one of the top 5 best things I've seen online this year.

The choice of music and villain is perfect for the castle and respawning of Bowser. Baron Semidi has a very Bowser-like laugh.

Thank god the courtyard part was there, otherwise you wouldn’t have been able to use the pp7 for most of the level!

This is awesome! One custom level series that I'd love to see is someone remake classic PC Wolfenstein 3D with Goldeneye style. Have options to only keep the 3 guns and have a max of 99 ammo. Keep secrets and layouts and all. Hidden 10th floor can be an unlockable stage like Aztec.

I can imagine someone giving out the most unenthusiastic "again" during the briefing since its Bowser

I got my N64 for Christmas when I was 10 in 97 and got Mario and Mario Kart with it. Mario mighta came with the console? Anyway, then I got Goldeneye for my birthday the following October. I haven’t really thought about either of these games in years. I had zero idea this, mashing them together, was even a thing. That was a pleasure to watch.

Not even the Golden Gun can “KILL” Bowser...for he is IMMORTAL.

The fact that you managed to tie in lore about Geno whilst also tying him to the Golden gun honestly adds a lot of cool layers to this mod
