Golden Rain - Turning Lead into Gold!

We show you the famous "Golden Rain" chemistry experiment - in a very new way.
"Golden Rain" is an experiment where you synthesize the yellow compound lead iodide in a very special, stunning manner. See the entire procedure, from the starting chemicals, all the way to the beautiful recrystallization of the compound.
Special thanks to our creative director Alejandra Valenzuela who gave this video a more creative aspect than we normally produce, with some upbeat music. Let us know how you like it!

The golden rain experiment is an excellent example of a double-displacement chemical reaction, a precipitation reaction - forming an insoluble compound from potassium iodide and lead nitrate. The reactants are both soluble ionic compounds. This experiment also demonstrates the effects of solubility curves.

Physicists observed a strange new type of behaviour in a magnetic material when it’s heated up. The magnetic spins ‘freeze’ into a static pattern when the temperature rises, a phenomenon that normally occurs when the temperature decreases discovered the phenomenon in the material neodymium

Why don't companies only manufacture gold from lead.. why do they dig mines? .. Digging a mine is very expensive...Is bcz lead-made gold cheaper than gold found in mines or what ??

I just about shut the video off because of the music. Consider that you have an audience of many different ages, not just of your age and musical tastes.
