The volunteers are not associated with any group or membership, just a great group of folks that have been riding GMP since the first day it opened years ago. They are volunteering solely to get GMP opened up with no strings attached!
Golden Mountain Off Road Park has been the park of legends! It was closed back in 2018. New owners Rick and Deke Waters are bringing it back to life with the help of the off road community volunteers! We had a large group of guys that showed up to work! Cleared all the rock crawling trails that have many stories. Remember that night we got hellavator? Or when we flopped in the Jungle wall! Who could forget the bridge!
Jim Howel, Nathan Whittaker and his Uncle Kenneth had this idea back in the early 2000’s when GMP was a recreational park and dirt track to cut some trails for off roaders. And the rest is history!
It’s great to have these guys and many more back nearly 20yrs later volunteering to help get the park back open.
