I think this AOW is the new No Hit meta, cause it's literally free 27.5% dmg
BTW this boss is really annoying. I hope they will fix some of the hitbox issues (some of the hits, his stupid grab with teleporting to his mouth from a few meters away) and make Golden Thorns more consistently dodgeable because they're currently terrible and feel somewhat random at close range.
And ofc that camera is crazy, plus I can barely see through his spikes.

What does the roar even do does it just give you a damage buff?

Basically, yes, it gives a damage buff. Shriek of sorrow increases attack power relative to the HP percentage Attack power increases by 12% at 100% HP | 17% at 85% HP | 22% at 55% HP | 27% at 30% HP The Skill's Tier is based on the HP percentage at the moment of casting. Subsequent health change won't alter the active effect unless Recast - that's why this skill is very useful not only in no hit boss fights, but in regular ones as well. 27% is really good amount of extra dmg. The skill goes well with Red-Feathered Branchsword talisman

So, only it’s only a viable build if you can dodge every single attack. Useless. This takes way too long as well for the risk. There are comfier builds that can achieve a quicker result whilst not needing to dodge everything 100% of the time.

You're 100% right man. But this video wasn't supposed to be OP build showcase or anything like that. I just wanted to kill a boss no hit using the new weapon and the new AOW. And this AOW is really OP for no hit, you can see the damage boost it gives. So actually if you want to have an OP build, it's better to use a heavier weapon with much more stance damage, and insert this AOW in the weapon. I'm gonna make some kind of video like that soon. The claws were just for fun and to show off this new weapon :)

Even if it’s not «comfy» to play, this ash of war definetily has some great use. Gonna take this into my ng+ rl1 builds for sure.
