According to my Granda, the Hungarian football team of the 1950s was the best international side he ever saw play. They should’ve won a World Cup in 1954 and only broke up because their country went through a revolution. I know they aren’t great now, but show the Hungarians some respect lol

From a portuguese fan, this is how I felt last year with Fernando Santos! So many players on that pitch have the ability to cross the ball, dribble, shoot, win headers and you see nothing of that, it's so frustating! The two games vs Ireland felt a lot like this England game, a lot of half-chances and the chances created are easily dealt with by defenders, you can clearly see there's a lack of patterns of play which is not understandable at all with these players

Nicely objective, the second yellow was definitely not warranted. In any case, as a Hungarian this performance by our team was so elevatinng. No BS just full on desperation. biggest home defeat in nearly 100 years (94 years)! This is a sackable offense

Any normal fan knew Southgate was never going to be the right man, yes we did well in the last two Tournaments. Its just I was being real, we had a very easy route in both Tournaments. When we came up against a decent team, like Italy or Croatia, we were found out. Don't get me wrong, if England had won the Euros or World Cup, I would of been ecstatic. I wouldn't of cared who we played, its just about winning it. Looking at the bigger picture, we knew we didn't play very well in some of them games. We were just lucky, they were not one of the big teams. Southgate is just like other boring England managers in the past, always playing it safe with their line ups. Why not be attacking, play like Liverpool or City, go at teams, pressure them from the front. Stop with this stupid 2 sitting midfielders. Maybe don't give a Manager the job, who has never done anything in management. I think England should play a 5 at the back, so you can have Kyle Walker in the back 3. Then his pace will protect the back line, have Magurie or Dier, with Stones. Then you can have Trent as a right wing back, Saka as a left wing back. Play Mount and Rice in the middle, Kane up top. With Foden and either Greallish or Sterling at either side. So you have the pace at the back, with Kyle Walker. Then you get 2 attacking wing backs in Trent and Saka pushing on. Have just one defensive midfielder in Rice, then have Mount pushing forward. Then use Foden and either Grealish or Sterling closing down the ball and Kane ready to pounce. It won't happen with Southgate in charge, why? because he is too Defensive minded and would never play that attacking. That is where England go wrong and will always go wrong. Until you get a manager who is willing, to take risks. We already messed it up with the last generation, where any normal manager would of played a different system. To accomadate Gerrard, Scholes and Lampard, until then we won't win anything. Just remember this, no English Manager has ever won the Premier League, let that sink in.

Yep they def need a proper captain to organise and get at players, someone who's seeing the game and not just looking to add to his goal tally by looking for a pen 😁 Hendo is underrated and I agree he should be captain and organising. He might not be a flair player but he's a steady head, can break up play and bring some composure. Can put flair players around him. It shows at Liverpool when he's missing they lack that bit of a proper leader and England need that.

City boring as fuck though Just pass around defence and into midfield and back to defence for 60-70 mins of every game Stat padding possession whores and boring as fuck to watch Citys top 3 highest passers are laporte, Dias and Cancelo All defenders because all they do is pass around defence for 2/3s of the game

Deschamps knocked out Argentina (even if Argentina was bad), Uruguay (who knocked out Portugal), Belgium (who knocked out Brazil) and exposed an injured subasic to score four past him. Southgate lost to the same croatia side he would have beaten if he attacked them the whole game. Deschamps had no luck required
