The continuity between notes is indeed mighty important for easier play and better sound. Majestic model right there.
That banjo has a super thick flange. Nice addition.
I really like this banjo!! At the moment I'm playing a Morgan Monroe Rocky Top. Like to upgrade soon. Although I must say I do really like my MM!
Hi Ben ". I've got the Goldtone ob150 banjo, it didn't seem quite right when I bought it, the head was unevenly placed, I put that right, got head tension up to approx 91 on dial guage G#, I also got a better string break angle over bridge 13dg or so tried a few different bridges, it now sounds amazing, I can only wonder if I had bought the 250 what would that be like, ps really like that OB 2 you're playing

Tighten that head alot more at least to 93. Make sure there is a good 1/32 gap between the heel cut and the head. Also make sure the flange is loose on the rim as well as the tone ring. You will notice a significance in power and volume.
They sell this one with gold plating?
