I read a book Scotti Domeij helped author about her son called Violence of Action. It's very inspirational, motivating, yet raw and and tear jerking. I have the utmost respect for this woman and her Ranger son (who was one of only a select few Army Rangers who were also fully qualified as USAF TACP's).

As a son of a WW II and Korean War Vet. Vet myself. Thank you for all that respect and hard work and dedication. To that Gold Star Mom. So sorry for your loss. When we loose one of our sons, that wound hurts so much. The Good from friends and strangers help. Never give up.

What a dream it is to participate in something like this, to honor our Greatest and to experience even in the smallest way what they experienced. Marty and crew, and our CCT's and PJ's from the 352nd, thank you for doing the honors on our behalf and sharing the D-Day 75th Anniversary with us.

Nice piece. One of the rules of war is that you can shoot a paratrooper in the air (because they can shoot back). Parachutists may not be shot at in the air. Paratroopers are thus, for as long as it takes to exit the aircraft until you hit the ground. Then you're infantry. All PTs love a parachute that descends at 15 feet per second, or faster. From 1,500 feet, you're a fast moving target. My dad used to say, "we're ten second targets".

4:33 I'll reiterate they got a total of 14 American C-47s plus another group from Europe to retrace the flight they made for the 75th. These drops were just an extension of that.
