Congrats. 3 years ago I helped a fellow get started detecting. A week later he sent me pictures of the second target he dug. 1876 $20 double Eagle gold coin! Sonuvabeech. I hate him. Recently I got a nice mid tone and saw a gold reeded edge of a coin in the hole. Pulled it out and cleaned the sand off and saw the smiling face of Chuck E Cheese. Now I double hate him.

Absolutely fantastic day! You should have recorded that huge smile you had. You will never forget this. Awesome hunt!

This is an amazing hunt. I found a lot of gold and silver jewelries on the beach but no gold coin. I hope someday I can find a coin spill from a shipwreck too. I can feel you bro. You're shaking. Keep them coming. Happy hunt

Excellent job. I am amazed at how so many watched this and so few liked. It's on the edge of unbelievable to find any gold anywhere at anytime but to find a coin spill like that is truly incredible. I've been hunting for over fifty years and although I've found many silver coins never a gold one. The largest piece of gold I found was a 2oz 22k pendent probably worth the same as your coin but I still want the coin. Ya and you need a little work on your camera and editing but who really gives a flip? You found it and got it on film and that's no bull. Great job. I just subbed and I'm looking forward to seeing your next one. Video or gold coin.) GL&HH

Pittsburgh coin hunting Mine was a 1881 5 D. I quit hunting as well. I live streamed finding mine here on YT and get made fun of for it! Lol. It’s one of those finds that you think will never happen! And to think you’ve found 2! That is absolutely awesome!

There is a lot of good treasure in Pittsburgh. There's some old Civil War training camps in the area as well and there is also rest hospital for Gettysburg Battle veterans. Lot historical finds for sure. You have the Forbes Trail and you have the Braddock Trail. Up near my place there's a lot of cannonballs and Cannons.

Yeah, I was out this morning, no silver, but an 1886 GAR medal, which was pretty cool. I really liked your video - the examples are the beginning are really helpful. I knew that park would have a gold coin or two. I've been running my etrac on lower sensitivity lately for better separation, but I should try it hot like you're doing. Have you tried metal detecting in the Washington county area ?. Because so far I've tried two of the old coal mine towns in the wash county area and turned up nothing but miners junk from the bishop coal mine.

I'm not sure what all the policies are but I've been detecting the parks for about 11 years now and never had an issue. Just be respectful and cut nice plugs and clean up after yourself. Best of luck to you. HH. JOE.

Beauty gold coin , if it had no mint mark it would be worth $20,000 ( only 87 made ) . Go back and get one 😉

I would send that gold 5 dollar coin , the seated liberty,and Indian head cent to PCGS could have a few thousand dollars worth of coins with them in such great shape

Gold doesn't tarnish or deteriorate in dirt or salt water. As long as it wasn't being shifted around in gravel to much. It should be just about like it was dropped.

The more history a spot has betters ur chances on finding lost goodies. The best places to try to get permission to hunt is where anyone gathered 100 years ago. Old churches, houses, parks ,schools . All the best. Joe.
