Bought one a year ago it went bad in October. The so-called warranty cost me $35 for another one and in two months the other one starting to disintegrate the same way save your money.

"It feels kinda papery, but it feels tough." I'm trying to envision that, but I can't. LOL! Kinda soft, but very hard? How has it held up over the years? I like your reviews.

I had this exact cover on my 2007 Lexus RX350 and it only lasted 2 months in the California sun. It literally disintegrated into a powdery mess.

Any new updates regarding this cover? I am in the market for one. Just wanted your thoughts?

that's great if it protects it from hail but you pulled the felt/ microtype interior across your driveway picking up rocks and debris then placed it against the paint. No disrespect just an observation

What happen. Did we get screwed. My car is outside. I needed a car cover for outside. They said I needed there Gold Series 5L like you showing. Now they don't even offer the gold series anymore? Now they claim there platinum is there number one cover. So what do I do? I paid $150 for my gold series

So I bought me one of those windshield covers that you reviewed for the days like today when it snows. I have not been diligent enough to run outside to even cover my car's windshield. The good covers are only as good as the diligence of the owner. =)

I put mine on! Hoping to be pleased with my effort on Monday.

I bought the 5L for my 2013 Shelby Gt500 back in March of 19. I keep the car outside in my driveway and I only drive the car on the weekends sometimes. Sometimes I’ll go weeks without driving it. So lately when I remove the cover I’ll see this fine white powdery dust. Now the dust easily wipes off with a micro fiber cloth but my questions is this. Does this mean the cover is breaking down? From all the responses I read most seem to think cleaning the cover will remedy this problem. Should I wash it on the car right side on or should I turn it inside out and drape it over my beater car and wash it that way?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the review man!!!

@@mgarcia2445 called the company and sent them a pic of the cover and they sent me a brand new one as per the lifetime warranty. So it’s all good now.

@@ttamcc.4674 not from the cover no, has it on for about a week and my freakin landscaper was edging near the driveway where the car is parked and cut a hole right near the front of the cover. He paid for it but now I have to order yet another cover lol unbelievable lol

Give it 4 year lifespan. Both of mine are leaving behind white powder before the surface start flaking away like cat scratch them..

Nice video. I just bought one. I don’t have anything fancy (2018 Chevy Equinox) but I’m hoping this will protect it in the winter time when I park it for the season.

@@Kamilski. So far we haven’t had any snow where I live. So I can’t really answer for myself at this time. I’ll know by April. I do have it on the car now and it fits good and has withstood rain and high winds. There’s just hasn’t been any snow yet.

@@caperjim It worked out great. It protected my car at the time from two bad snow storms. Last year, while I was away we had a moderate hail storm and I had no damage.

Be careful ordering on this company carcover.com make sure everything is good because when you return your product you will pay for your own to ship your package back to them. This company have “F” rating on BBB. Product is not really good water goes in.

This 5L car cover last a maximum of 3 months before it disintegrates. When the outer layer disintegrated into a silvery black powder the powder then migrated through the bottom and onto the top of the car's paint surface which make the car look like it was covered with a layer of silvery black pollen. Sure they have a free replacement warranty but you have to pay $30 shipping each time. There are a lot of car covers sold on Amazon that cost less than $40 with free shipping that you can buy and probably last about 3 months before it disintegrated like this one but doesn't cost $140. Overall it cost me a total of $170 for the original and the replacement cover and which last for a total of only 6 months which really piss me off because I don't plan to order another replacement. This is a scam.

Hmm thanks for this comment, i was excited about their lifetime warranty but not if I have to pay the shipping each time. CarID replaced mine last year and they didnt even look@ or want the old one, they just took my word for it and sent me another one out the next day free of charge and it was cut specifically for my car.

@David Topchiev , A piece of shit after 3 month under intense summer heat which destroy the outer plastic layer. It will last longer in cooler fall and winter weather.

I've had similar experiences with Budge covers and Empire covers....only good for a very few months, then disintegrate. Sure, they'll replace them under warranty, once, but the replacements are the same crappy covers. The cover in this vid looks to be pretty much the same crappy material. Waterproof? HAH, dream on...

@@melrobinson6919 Have you tried car cover from Covercraft? they make probably the best car covers in the business. I just bought one from them and just love it, no problem whatsoever. This is the one I bought: www.covercraft.com/us/en/product/custom-noah-car-cover.C-CCNH They are expensive because all their covers are custom made and the material is top quality which can last for years.

@@linz6794 I don't believe I have.... thanks for the recommendation. The vehicle I buy covers for is my Ford SuperDuty Crew Cab Long Bed pick up and it has a camper shell on it. A cover in that material will be about $500. How long have you had the cover from them? Thx

this guy is only here to sell this product. everything he says in this video is positive. if he’s so truthful about this product, why not use a waterhose to prove its 100% rainproof? why not do a follow-up video? other youtubers are more truthful. they’re willing to show viewers the bads.
