Gold's Sneaky, Stealth Price Advance to New All Time Highs

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Gold hit a new record high price this week briefly touching US $2,203 per ounce. It’s like gold has been rallying in stealth mode - in a way that no one notices. One would think that if gold hit a new high, it would be in all the news. Gold has performed well despite high interest rates and a strong dollar. The “experts” are shocked and surprised by gold's upward move to new heights - they didn't expect it. Several data releases recently from the US government indicated a weaker economy, reinforcing beliefs in the potential for Fed interest rate cuts coming this summer. There is no question that this rally seems to have caught many Western experts and forecasters by surprise - Its a stealth rally if you like - which suggests to me the buying is happening beyond the immediate purview of most of those “experts.” Now while few are paying attention, is the time to invest in gold. Whether it is physical gold, ETFs., or mining stocks, a gold investment is well worth considering.

    Part of the reason gold is going up is because over 80% of the world stopped using usd and switched to the first global gold backed currency brics which has taken almost every african country out of debt because polticians cant artifically deflate their dollar through printing money when its gold backed so now gold is going up like crazy because everyones using gold again as currency instead of the worthless usd which is worth way less than almost every other 1st world currency now

    I appreciate the information. I'm in the market every day and didn't know about the rise in gold price. However, I disagree with you about bonds. I buy 20 year US treasury bonds when their yield approaches or exceeds 4.5%. As future interest rates drop, the prices of the bonds rise, sometimes substantially. At this moment in time, my bonds are sitting 2% higher, but pay the exact same dollar amount to me. Not that I'm selling my bonds. I'll just sit back and collect the cash regardless of what their price is. (I'm just trying to lock in on current interest rates for my savings, not investing.) I'll consider buying some gold.

    Thanks for challenging a lot of the myths and part-truths about gold Chris. It seems to have been the most underrated metal in the world until recently. It hit a high of over AUD3300 here in Australia recently, and I've been wondering why. Very explanatory, thank you. However, I feel that you neglected to mention one important factor - the move by some countries towards a gold-backed cryptocurrency away from their present fiat currency. James Rickards has predicted in 2011 that if the US introduces one, they will fix the price of gold at USD 10 000 to 50 000 - a significant long-term jump! Thanks again for the information.

  • @ChrisRalph

    @ChrisRalph

    The US is looking at a government crypto-dollar and that will happen. The chances that any form of the dollar as issued by the US government will go back to being gold backed in any way is (in my opinion) zero. Not a chance. Lots of folks in the gold bug space say all sorts of things. And what Rickards said in 2011 was well before the rise of Bitcoin and crypto-currency.

Born again,the Spirit whispers “gold” which began my prospecting journey Chris. As I began to grow in knowledge smelting became part of the path. As I learned different melting points of precious metal one stuck out. It was gold at 1948 degrees. Wow! What do you know, it’s the same day Israel became a nation May 14, 1948. Isaiah 66:8 shall a nation be born in a day. Sanctification is purification “refining” yourself in preparation to meet our Lord Jesus. I hope this will serve you well. It’s part of my testimony.
