Any app like google pay, paytm etc. all these companies tie up with only 3 companies to store gold. Go through the charges for these and purity

The explanations are all good... But you missed LTCG calculation in your video. What happens to GOLD ETF returns after 5 years minus LTCG? I guess you need to take CIIs for calculation. Finally after this i guess you can compare the % returns.

LTCG can be taken, but computation becomes complex with indexation, limits of LTCG in other investments, tax harvesting done by the individual and finally the tax bracket of individual. Hence, we have kept it simple.

Yes. SGB price follows gold price. But probability of gold falling in 5-8 years is very low.

One more disadvantage is left.. the problem with SGB is.the 2.5 interest you gain every year must be filed..and it will be taxed as per your income tax slab..

You can.. but generally the liquidity is much less in these instruments.. so its better to wait for 5 years to get good returns
