A year ago a friend of mine opened her new tattoo studio & art gallery called Gold Heart Tattoo, located in LaCrosse, WI. I wanted to make her a piece of furniture to celebrate this great achievement and we worked out this desk design. The desk is made of red oak, milled by my grandfather in WI, and air dried for years. The oak was ebonized to give it the blackened look and fit the aesthetic of the area it was designed to go in. Epoxy and gold flake was used to create the brand logo in the middle of the desk. This was a fun build that carried some new challenges for me and had even more importance being build for a friend. Be sure to check out Gold Heart Tattoo online or in person.
