You picked a great spot...I’d like to see you do a WWII battle site.

It's all about persistent and not being afraid of getting wet. I've been doing this for 65 years and I never get tired of finding old coins.

The large one, which you thought has“Ajax” on it, is a 20 Greek drachma coin from the 1970s-80s. The head is Pericles. The one with the atom is a 10 Greek drachma from the same period, and the “old guy” is Democritus (first person to describe the concept of an atom)

I’m from medicine hat Alberta Canada love watching your videos yesterday I went out metal detecting and found a sterling ring with a blue gem in it very old really cool I’ve been metal detecting for years now good job mate

Funny story about the Witchety grubs..... my siblings and I used to dig them up all the time, when we were kids. 1 day I wanted to cook them. So I put them in the microwave. They exploded. Mum was NOT happy

Nice to see you back swining Leigh! Thats a great honey hole of coins you guys found. I'd be going back there at bleast another 3 or 4 times to see what you missed. Got a tip for you! Download an app to your phone called Coin-O-Scope. With this app you can take a pic of the coin and it will bring up what it is, or most likley is with a list of web results from coin sites.Great way to find out what a foreign coin is. I use it allthe time as we find a few foreign coin s here in Sydney too. Anyway , look forward to the next hunt!

Nice you have visit Castricum. Ist my Village where ik have lived for 28 years. Also the painting was collected there but was not cut there . That was much longer ago . Great video again

Awesome. That must have been a major hub. I'm told, here in Westwood, was one of the biggest railroad and train stations in the state of California. I've found purple sea shells, where the train stations used to be. Now I'm on the lookout for coins too. This was a booming, centralized, town. I Love the years of history you have to work with!!

When it's raining tell the dutch that sour melts too....

That one at the 32:27 is called Drachma...its 10 Drachma...The ancient coinage of Greece before Euros. The letters around the coin are saying "ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ" which translates to "GREEK DEMOCRACY". Its a very heavy and big coin....Amazing job you guys.
