It took me 45 min to dig it up I was crying like a little girl. Lol. Thank you heaps my friend I think you brought me luck. Kind regards James.

Hans, First, congratulations and I hope you have so much fun. We all get excited with our new "toys". It's infections to me, and makes me want to grab my stuff and get detecting. However, I was most excited with your bronze fragment. I was sure from the first moment you showed it that its a piece of a blade. I really look forward to hearing of this one in future. Hope all is still fun and exciting at the archeological sites. GL&HH-AK

Hans, looks like you've really expanded your capabilities with that detector. Good Luck! Please keep the videos coming! The Andy Sabisch books are extremely well written and he has a huge amount of experience and passion for the hobby to back it up! I have the book, "The Treasure Hunter's Handbook", written by Andy and this book puts it all in a nutshell, full of a lot of good information for novice as well as longtime hunters like myself. Andy has come to our club to speak a time or two. The XP Deus seems to have solved the problem of weight while adding performance.

Hello Hans, Congratulations with your Deus. It certainly looks a lot lighter than my CTX3030 (I am quit satisfied with my machine though!) I like your videos, specially the close-ups are very sharp. Nice that you show some of the finds after you cleaned them up and that you show the junk. Most detectorists tend to ignore that fact. Sometimes I think I am the only one who digs up lots of rubbish. Good luck with your finds. Greetings from the Netherlands.

+Willem Sterk hello willem, thank you :) . . . the deus is unbelievably light and even though it's a very strong detector. . we longtime metal detectorists have the old 80s and 90s imagination that a good metal detector has to be heavy...but we have to face the micro chip technologie! imagine the first calculator of the 50s. . .it filled a whole gym. . today you can house a calculator with even more features in the smallest wristwatch. . . thank you for watching and for your kind words about my videos! i'm happy to hear you like them :) showing the thrash is very important. . .sometimes i think i should even show more in order to prevent drawing a false picture of the hobby :) all the best, GL&HH! hans

nice one:) your finally part of the elite now.haha. one thing i would surgest would be to, set your ground balance, the (GB) in the bottom right hand side of the main screen, to "tracking" this will set the machine in auto pilot when it comes to the ground conditions, it self adjusts as you go basically... this meaning your getting the best out of the machine at all times, no matter the terrain... you will see the numbers change(number to the right of main vdi numbers) one upper number and one lower number change as you go, thats the tracking setting working in the back round... also the "bar" to the right hand of the screen, is a mineralisation meter, so you can visually see when the ground is high in mineralisation.. (the little blocks will grow...) and one last thing, use basic two to help identify iron better, also basic two turned down to 4khz works really well, but also good in factory preset of 8khz...:) GL&HH Matey man:)

Hi Hans, congrats to the new Deus. I am using it for 3 years now and don't want to miss it since then. I think you will have a lot of fun with it. but take your time for experience with the machine. you can do a lot of settings for different grounds. I also got the Andy Sabisch book, which is very good to learn and understand the different features of the deus which is not so easy. it took me a lot of hours to create the best programs for my wishes and understand every single setting to get the best out of this machine. For the first time it is good to detect with the standard programs to get use to the deus. even if it is not perfect for me it is definately the best allround detector. But you will see for yourself. Good luck and happy hunting with it ;)) Very nice finds again, a very good first hunt with your new deus 👍👍

Hi Hans, congratulations to your new DEUS :-) ... welcome in the club ;-) ... you did really a nice start with it finding beautiful finds :-) ... it's really a nice machine, I found a lot of finds in really unbelievable circumstances. One information I got is to switch on the DEUS with the coil not at the ground but horizontal minimum one meter over the ground. This will set up the DEUS correctly and force the sensitivity much more to find more tiny little things in decent depth. Wish you a pleasant time with your DEUS, GL&HH, Paul

Hans; Great video & great some finds. I have to say that that this video has me so excited that I have started looking for it here in the USA, found a store right here in my city. Another great video, Hans. Enjoyed the unboxing, a very nice machine. You've found some amazing items for your first hunt with it. Ancient gold, fabulous. But the bronze piece, that's the first thing I thought too when you showed it to us, looks like a piece of blade. Did you ever happen to confirm that or not? So many Beautiful finds. 👍🏻

Hallo Hans! Congratulations on the new machine, it will be interesting to see how it performs over the long run, as a retired industrial mechanic I always look for things that are over built, but boy do you pay with the weight penalty on a long day. The Deus may put you into the position of " Ubermenchdasdetektorvereindievelt". How's that for a proper german title!-Peter Lorenz

+roadpanzir hello peter, thank you my friend. . i'm very excited about finding out how it will do in the future hunts. . .the lightness of the machine isn't it's only feature. . it's s versatile, fast and powerful. . you can feel it when you operate the machine. haha. . that's a german word indeed ;) thank you for watching nad for your kind comment! all the best, hans

the mystery brass piece that looks like a chess piece is likely a finial, decorative end of a lamp wire placed to hold the lamp wire secure over the bulb. it could be other things too.

I have found a broken half of a tap handle that looked like the possible game piece. The curve at the broken end is where the shaft was mounted.
