18k and 14k gold is also used in India if they contain diamonds and other gemstones There are many brands like Caratlane, Mia and Bluestone that use lower gold contents

​@@opensesame1222 k gold isused for traditional gold jwellery ...but the 18 k and lesser i used for some diamond jewellery and some trendy jwellery patterns too ...but yes 22 is the norm.

@@baishalideb5565 yes, for sure 18k is a universal standard, widely used everywhere on the world. However, as to my knowledge 22k as a gold standard is used only in India. At least that is where I have seen it till now
