hmmm... it feels weird to have goku look a bit pissed in the victory screens, especially when he seems a bit more relaxed and chill. if you can, i suggest making some additional expressions where he's less serious.

Not only that, I feel the voice sounds a bit too...angry, in most DBZ games he sounds more chill even when taking damage, I feel his Budokai Tenkaichi 3 voicelines would fit better

Victory music is awesome but I think it would sound more "real" if it was slightly shorter. You should check out other character's unique fanfares for reference

Just look at how broken and op fighters pass 2 is. They didn't even TRY to balance these characters. Atleast this Goku is beatable, sakurai's team would have probably also tried to squeeze in a comeback mechanic like they did with sephiroth, who I love very much and was my biggest pick for ssbu, but all he really needs from that wing is the extra jump... why super armor? Why extra kill power?- and on a more negative note... Why a counter that only works 50% of the time?!

@@TruecarioZ That's a balancing problem, no correlation with Goku's quality as part of Smash Ultimate's roster, and talking about the mod itself is definitely far from perfect, it definitely looks restrained in areas such as expressions, Goku is too serious in this mod but thats probably a problem born of using the Jump Force model.

Absolutely incredible work. I think one thing I would address is the lack of moving eyes, which I feel would breathe a ton more life into the character. It's a small change but makes a huge difference.

It's been a long journey but it's nearly here! My only nitpicks at this point are that the beam doesn't get thinner as it expires, and that none of his facial expressions have his rounder eyes, which looks particularly odd in the outros. I can completely get these being technical limitations, though. Outstanding work getting to this point, and here's to a smashing relaase!

Hate to say it but since we are getting transformation from Super, I doubt it unless the creator makes an echo fight for it to be GT or Xeno Goku

At first I kinda was not rlly on board with the mod but so far it keeps getting better and better can’t wait to see it fully finished.

Looks brilliant, would do a little more for synchronization on win screen and the music and would change the win screen animation where he does the goofy thumb up lol, would change it to Victory of MUI Goku in Dragon Ball Fighter Z For Rest, your cooking it really well, hope for future updates on this

Such great work! Some critique or potential changes: I would maybe change his facial expressions in the victory screen. He doesnt seem very happy or with his upbeat attitude. He is a little too serious imo :D Also the aura in his MUI form is a little too bright just like his hair. His hair might be more "silver-like". These are things I would change maybe. Thank you for your hard work! It's awesome to see the progress

A lot of smash moves in other characters also have dust being blown up from the user's feet while they are using or charging the attack, and that could add some extra effect to the kamehameha or other of his attacks

I think this looks pretty incredible!! One of the only things i can offer is considering giving Goku more of his rounder friendlier eyes in the victory screens and idle animations for base form. I feel like his face looks a little strange when alway furrowed.

Holy moly this is something else! 10/10, amazing

Really love the Facial animations and especially the animation for hitting the ground early for his up air. The voice in jp fits great especially for the kamehameha, unlike the eng voice. Still has the same issue repetetiveness for Kaioken and the weird ai generated solar flare voice. My critiques this time around is the the victory theme. I think its a weird case off too long but not long enough. It overstays its welcome imo. I think it should just do a "cha la head cha la jingle" and end there. Or just go the route of cloud and have it just play through completely. A side note, i feel like the forms shouldn't all be available, if i remember correctly, they buff him right? So what's stopping you just ascending to UI for an advantage? To mitigate this I think you should get a transformation per one of your stocks lost, like a Zenkai. UI Sign and Mui both could be accessible at the same time. If these are all just cosmetic and I'm misremembering, or you can already only get 1 per stock and I've forgotten, ignore this. For voicelines, have you considered adding multiple that can play for certain amimations? For example, using the voicelines from dbfz such as Blue Goku's "KAAAIOOOKEEENNN" scream from his level 3 as an alternate kaioken voice line. For the jp voice it could be advantageous as you could use screams from Gohan as voice lines as they're the same VA, for example using JP Adult Gohan's level 1 scream as a voiceline for changing forms as to not make it as repetetive. I'm sorry for writing so much feedback, I just really like this mod.

I think the intermission track from DBZ would fit perfectly as a fanfare theme.

I think the Victory Theme should be the Episode Intermission theme or the Title Card theme. Would be something even Sakurai would choose, as it is both snappy, concise, and rolls off better with the short time you are on this screen! Not to mention, while I understand that the choice was to display the choral part that chimes the name of the song, its cut-off part at the end makes it quite the awkward thing to listen to. Oh, and the Victory Poses can also be derived from those Intermission bits, too. Not to mention, the guy needs to smile more! But as for the rest, so far so good!

thank you for adding flight! the ONLY thing I would add is a gameplay difference between the different forms, and some kind of ki system so you cant just go strait to the strongest form. that said, its probably impossible, and this is already perfect anyway so... thank you for adding flight. makes it feel a lot more like Goku.

I wouldve made it be just sephiroths comeback mechanic but with SSJ, and then make a SSJG skin that replaces SSJ with SSJB, and maybe Xeno that replaces SSJ with SSJ4, that might be impossible tho, I feel like if it was possible he wouldve done it

Truly a great mod! The only nipicks ive got is the nimbus victory screen still feelings a bit clunky looking [though that might just be a technical issue], and though head cha-la was a good pick for the theme, i think having the end of the chorus [the SPARKING! Part] be there instead would work better. Nitpicking aside, great work!

Not a pressing request, but I would love to see how your Akuma would turn out, especially with him coming to SF6 soon. This looks incredible!

This looks so good! If you're taking constructive criticism, I think it would be a neat touch if Goku's victory pose and dialogue were more serious if ending the match in Ultra Instinct

1:12 You should have add the ground smoke cloud for goku when he's charging his kamehameha and also the other attacks/specials of him too. unless, there's no smoke cloud for goku and looks so unfinished or incomplete and samus yet have a smoke cloud when she charging his charge shot.

It has been such a year long journey watching it develop Personally I would’ve add a medium screen shake to a fully-charged Kamekameha to really sell the power, and maybe a small screen shake to the Kaioken. But other than those 2 small things, it is perfect. Good luck on your Wargreymon moveset, I’ll be there.

The problem I see with anything relating to goku model is that he’s always in his serious eyes look. For example the victory screens; having goku’s normal relax big unconnected cartoony eyes would make its 100 times better and true to him as a character instead of always looking like Vegeta I get that it’s due to this model not having the face rig for it but if you want it to be faithful to goku than little details like that goes a loooong way Victory pose that would be neat to see is his flying pose from the end of Dbz manga cover, the “see ya!” Pose and him just relaxing after a good fight

Nicely done! But for the victory theme, maybe try an arrangement from the one from Supersonic Warriors for the gba? I think it would flow better

It’s good I think the up be should be tweaked a bit tho and maybe some small buffs with transformation

Not sure how modded final smash attacks work, but feel like Ike or Clouds could be a good base Goku goes SSJ3, rushes in with a haymaker, launches to center sky, flashy combo, crash back down with a dragonfist

I think you should do a mechanic like lucario that unlocks other states like super saiyan blue when he is at 100% or ultra instinct at 150% etc etc

I feel like eventually, his instant transmission animation should keep the same range, but include 4 "teleportations" with 4 after-images on the screen visible all at once randomly within the IT's path, dbz style. Like he quickly spams 4 instant transmissions to get to his destination. It would slightly confuse the opponent as well.

I agree with other people that the victory animations could have goku be more relaxed and like he's having fun rather than serious. If its possible to have his round eyes and not angry eyebrows, i think this would help a lot with his expressions. Otherwise really really good job with the mod so far! Looking forward to its public release!

One recommendation that I think would be nice is if Goku throws up a peace sign either as a taunt or as one of his victory animations like he used to in early dbz and in og dragon ball

This mod is awesome, but if you can when goku goes kaioken, in the anime his skin and clothes sort of have a reddish tinge to it, if you could add something like that to the mod that would be sick, and maybe a more happy, big eyed goku face for his win screen, but amazing work regardless

Can see an idea of using the transformation taunt(?) to give Shulk like buffs SSj 1 damage buff SSj B knockback buff UI free perfect sheild then after it connects it disipates Or more simplier (maybe?) add in the line up and have each stage build up power buffs ssj1 gives .5, ssj2 a 1.0, 3 1.5 etc have the taunt take a sec, dissipates on hit, but ensures your next hit hurts/smashes

I'm imagining a scene where they make a Palutena's guidance about Goku and it's just Pit, Viridi, and Palutena having a panic attack cuz Goku is here.

Excellent work! But if you can make more facial expressions to make goku seems more relax in some situations like the victory screens it will be marvelous! You can also draw some lines on his hair in super saiyan mode to make it looks like in the comic!

I feel like the Kamehameha fade could use some tweaking. Like, maybe it starts fading at his hands, and then fades away along the beam until it reaches the tip? It fading all at once does look a little jank at the moment.

ive said it before and ill say it again: goku feels right at home in smash. if sakurai or the next director decides to be more lenient with what's added, id 100% bet that goku would be the first fighter added to not have their first appearance be in a video game.
