Gojo has been said to have essentially unlimited cursed energy... he could use his domain in way more ways than Sukuna and had used his domain more in the fight and Domain expansion uses tones of cursed energy... Using the wheel to adapt against infinity(and UV) meant that he would only use DA when needed, therefore he was forced into a defensive postion, said position is what lead to him getting beat up in the DC (domain clashes) AND after the DC If you don't get it lemme just dumb it down for you Reach gojo = DA = no CT Maho adaption = no DA = no reaching gojo = getting beat up Also there's the fact that sukuna was not using everything he had lol I get jjk isn't really easy to understand but like, you just need to read to understand why things went the way it did lol, it's not that complex
