@@mclovinpo I'm pretty sure it's meant to be stop-motion for that one singular scene, and then the other full-body shots are suitmation, since there's no way a human in that suit would be able to bend over so far. You can tell when the animation is replicating suitmation, puppetry, or stop-motion.

I love the fact that in some scenes it looks like stop motion, and sometimes hand puppets and then back suitmation style The level of detail is just, even the flames look like they were hand painted! I love everything about this video Truly feels like a love letter to the original 1954 film

Fun fact the original film was going to use stop motion to bring Godzilla to life because the director was inspired by the stop motion in King Kong.

This has got to be one of the best pieces of fanmade Godzilla media I have ever seen on top of being one of the scariest depictions I've ever seen of the big guy along with feeling like I'm watching the original movie all over again. He appears 40 seconds in, but it's done so masterfully, he's as quiet as a cat in a manner where you wouldn't even know he's in the same space as you until it's too late. It's also really unnerving how real it feels in that it's just so authentic in its presentation. I love how the fire is as big as it would be if it was a man in a suit on a set and Godzilla's character animation just feels like Godzilla, being that you could forget that this was all made in Blender with how well every aspect of it was handled and the techniques taken to make this look like a live action film. I think what really sold me on this was your usage of THE Godzilla roar, the one that Shinagawa-Kun and MinusGoji used a lot, being saved for his regeneration at the end. It really felt as if he has gotten significantly stronger since they never used it in the original film outside of the opening credits. Another favorite thing about this that I wanna mention is his atomic breath, it looks as if it was made in the same way that they made it so long ago. In short: I love this because of how it pays its respects to the franchise in its presentation, bringing out a visceral feeling when watching it that hadn't been reached since the original.

The fact that it moves like the original godzilla but it kinda has a realistic muscle movement gives it this rather eerie aura, like real footage of something surreal. Also, gotta love that Harry Hausen stop motion animation moment.

Incredible! A brilliant love-letter the 1954 movie. It is what Eiji Tsuburaya dreamed of 70 years ago. He wanted a stop-motion animated Godzilla. Now you got it. Also, the combining between a man in a suit, stop-motion, and puppetry is purely brilliant.

This should be a KZread creator awards winner one day , the movement is a remindence for suitimation as well as the special & visual effects created by none other than eiji tsuburaya himself , if this gains reviews , I love to see some future Godzilla movies come to light with this format , also wanting to see some Ray harryhausen films remade with that same technique you give in blender , that goes for the lesser known monster films produced by other indie companies or American international pictures with it as well with a more modern mix

This says 3D animation, but I'd swear most of the Godzilla shots were a suit or puppets like the original film. The "stop motion" segment was fantastic as well! Also, repeating the same shot of the tank driving down the street multiple times to give the illusion of more tanks, is exactly what these old films did. The way you've emulated the degraded black and white film quality, the framing, and the camera pans is the icing on top. Every bit of this demonstrates an intimate knowledge and appreciation of the first Showa Era films. (Just watched the making of video) UNBELIEVABLE! What a fantastic achievement this whole project is!

From the crudeness of the compositing, the camera work, the emulation of puppetry/stop motion - the authenticity with every detail is insane. love how its so accurate to 50s era films! (rapid firing shelling, slowing of the framerate, the darkness of the film, the music, the godzilla animation like as if its a suit)

This was fucking incredible! So much attention to detail and your love for not just godzilla but an entire era of film making really shows!

I like how this dosent feel like a blender animation. It generally looks and feels like miniature props are on a set, Heck even godzillas movements feel super slow and lumbering like its an actual man in a suit, even godzillas dorsal plates are flimsy, just like the original. This is quality content 👍

I love this type of stuff. Man in the suit is awesome, Walten Files is awesome, this is awesome.

This is phenomenal, it feels so much like the original film, yet at the same time it feels like a unique take, with there being a greater feeling of uncanniness throughout the entire video, it's just so good, I love it!

This is hands down one of my favorite Godzilla animations now. A perfect mood recreation of the original with some great mood lighting and amazing animation to make it all look like suit and claymation. Godzilla 1954 to me is always the most haunting of his iterations. Minus one almost hits that sweet spot but the original still has this presence about that pitch black night in Tokyo that makes it one of if not the best godzilla city attack, and this animation captures that feeling spectacularly.

4:20 i love the classic light for the eye opening trike that you see in old gamera movies

    これは凄い。あの日あの時ゴジラを見た時、本物のように感じたが、この動画では別の意味で本物のように感じる。とてもCGとは思えない。

Dude! I luv that detail to Godzilla! Hes curious about this train thingy as new technology seems to baffle him since hes a prehistoric animal from years ago. This is simple but I luv it so much!
