Like you, I am also a language learner. For YEARS, I learned vocabulary, and grammar rules, and did lots of activities. I lived in Canada and there was no one around for me to practice with.
When I tried to speak, no one could understand me.
When other people spoke, I couldn’t hear or understand what they were saying.
My husband Curtis and I (Amy) loved to travel and eventually, we wanted to move to a country.
… The problem was that I still had not learned Spanish :(
One day, I was thinking about WHY I couldn’t speak or listen well and I realized it was because I never focused on these skills. I searched for ‘conversations’ and fortunately, I found an interesting conversation between two people with a transcript to read along.
I was surprised how many ‘normal’ words I was missing from my vocabulary that people use in everyday life!
After spending time thinking about how to practice speaking and listening in different ways, I tried several activities and discovered that this ‘different’ way of learning a language was MUCH faster than the way I was learning before.
Today, I live in Mexico with Curtis. I speak Spanish fluently.
And now I help other people to discover how easy it is to make faster progress with their English skills AND to feel comfortable and confident while they speak.
… People that have immigrated to Canada or the USA
… People that need English to work with international clients
… People that have to speak English in their profession
… And even people that just LOVE to learn English!
If you are stuck with your English and you aren’t sure what to do to get to the next level, we can help.
Come to our website, check out some lessons, and contact us if you need some help deciding which course, lessons, or program are best for you.

My favourite part of this audio is Amy in her cocoon and also I can imagine her with the toque and the duve feather! This is a funny vision. I suppose that it wasn't funny for Amy at that time! But is a good story or anecdote to tell to your grandchildren!! :)

Hello, Amy! Thank you for this useful video! You used here a grammar construction: I ‘ m going to be sharing” is there a big difference between:” I’m going to share”?

Excellent !!!! They're all here !!!!! All the key words !!! Injury, bump, swollen, sprained, hurt, emergency room, fever, temperature, sick, walking hospital, stitches,clutches........There's only one thing missing : Seizure-Stroke situation and how you help somebody through it, waiting for paramedics. But you sound way too young to be thinking about that kind of old guy's mishaps.
