Hat tip to Admiral Willis "Cheng" Lee. He put all the AA on US ships. And the radar. And proximity fused AA shells.

Rochester and California has been super fun with aa my old California record b4 the cv buff was 56 planes against a serov.

the flandre has very good aa to where you can take entire squads, but now with the update it can take down 4 planes down or 5.

I do love that the suggestion came up to do AA and you're justified response was literally 'America!! F*ck yeah!' 😂

Gneisenau got me a clear sky + change, had the carrier on me most of the match did get some help from those around me but survived the match and to top it off deleted the CV 😂

Schroder, Agir & Siegfried have insane AA

ZF-6 is a one of my fav destroyers/ships and like you said...very effective AA even though it has AA around 50. Very underrated ship...not to mention that it also has a MBR booster.

You got to love the California

The new Netherlands campaign ship is actually the best AA tier 7 cruiser in the game, Derka video confirmed it. With a max 759 damage per second build.

The British heavies usually have the best AA up to t6 for cruisers

lol, well the Bismarck, Yamato, and Musashi all still exist just as collectively several hundrend thousand tones of steel at the bottom of thr ocean.😅

With the lowered plane HP, ships with more guns outranging the standard 2km on things like the 20mm and 25mm guns seem to have an equalizer. More range = more guns on target longer = more damage. In theory, this makes Soviet and German AA more competitive in effective DPS. Stuff like the Soviet 37mm and 45mm guns. And quite notably, the 30mm and 55mm German guns. Those 55mm automatic guns get 5km range

Thats actually a very good idea if they made those 20mm have double the range then a lot of ships would have double AA damage and on some AA cruisers with defensive AA you could shoot down entire squadrons before they could attack

You said Amagi has worse AAs than colorado but that unfair because Amagi was stock, and Colorado fully upgraded

Running California with maxed out Commander and ship for AA. Its at 100 but its easily 110-120. Been getting 1-2 Clear Skies every game 💀

For the Italians at tire 8 the Verdi has a 76 AA. The German cruiser Schröder has a 91 AA and can be equipped with DFAA, but you'll lose your sonar for that. Pan-Europe Karl XIV Johan is a sleeper also with a BASE 95 AA. The main thing all these ship have in common is almost every player has them because they were all campaign ships and they are tire 8.

Tennessee never got upgraded though The only reason California got upgraded like that was because it got sunk and had to be rebuilt from the ground up anyway West Virginia is the same way

Kii is also an underrated AA ship most people sleep on it

How could I forget

PE Friedrich was blessed with borderline busted WW2 era AA at tier 5 for Germans, yet Mackensen got left behind.... Kinda tragic really. PE F got 70. Mackensen is 16

Your are right for sure with the american AA, but for some reason i can't get god games with these ships, i do a lot better with british, france and even german BB, don't know why cause every youtuber tells me the americans are the best ships in the game

Rochester with its AA boost has no match. Even without the boost I don’t believe any cruiser beats it, including the campaign ship. On boost the planes are destroyed before they can drop anything. Not sure about Battleships, but I just bought Constellation with the 70% off coupon, so hopefully it’s AA is good.

CVs were much better as they were. Sure the kids found playing and playing against them difficult, but that is no reason to dumb the game down. You might only have them in a match 15% of the time and it mixed it up enough to keep it interesting. This change and the increasingly smaller maps just make the game a boring bloodbath.
