Going Great Distances to Document Village Life in Zanskar
Snow Chains : amzn.to/3JLc5Gd
*******
I started this spring season with a hurried trip to Zanskar. First driving across the snow covered Singge La Pass to reach Zanskar and then hiking 25km to the Shade village to document the tilling of the fields at the village. On the way I slept in caves and saw a lot of wild animals in the mountains and valleys surrounding the Shade Village.
#Zanskar #Ladakh #Shaday
00:00 Climbing Singge La
02:51 Descending to Lingshed
03:56 The Steep Descent from Lingshed
05:05 Hiking to Shaday
08:58 Wildlife at Shaday
11:52 Tilling the fields at Shaday
******
Soundtrack : 'Before I Go' by Kevin Bean, 'A Vulnerable Mind' by Magnus Ludvigsson

Living at such high altitude is not so easy as it looks. Yes, the pristine natural beauty that Ladakh offers is unparalleled, but alongside it comes multiple challenges, especially when you are alone in the open. But, how well you adapt and adjust yourself to the tough terrains. Being one of your first fans since you opened this channel and have been actively following you since many years. You are an inspiration & an epitome of solo adventure bro! Lots of love and good wishes always! 😊🙏🏻

In years to come, when these traditional ways of farming would have become extinct, as they have already in parts of Lahaul, Spiti and Ladakh, your documentation of the centuries old practices will prove an excellent source of archives. Felicitations!
you deserve more views and subscribers for the great work you are doing...you are not only making a vlog, you are are documenting a way of life that will soon disappear and become a memory...i hope more people will discover your amazing videos..cheers!

Man, seriously the kind of effort and dedication you put into your vlogs is commendable. The knowledge you have of Ladhak, I don't think any other vlogger has. Thank you for posting such wonderful content. Regards from Dubai.
The video covered all the aspects of shady. Its cultivation, wildlife, caves, passes. The drone shots have really enhanced the viewing experience. Thanks for making my day feel better.

I am so fascinated about the mind space you are in while exploring these mountains. Apart from all the preps you make, it'd take tremendous calmness and vision to move forward each day I guess. Love your videos ❤

Driven and trekked to all these places during autumn, summer and once in winter. Singge La, Lingshed and Photoskar in 2009 when it was an unknown hamlet. A lone wolf tracked me for an entire day. Slept inside a mountain cave, after I lost my way. And yet to see them through your lens is like an adventure never seen before.

That's the real exploring..with the spectacular views.. that drone shot of steep road gives perfect explaintion that how much that steep is..
@indiainmotion

Thank you. Ya, the drone really gives a great perspective of that road. Frankly it looks a bit too steep in that drone shot, I'm not sure if the gimbal was a bit titled or but. But anyway, most vehicles struggle to go up that road.

Wonderful video sir ! I loved the part where you are on foot and show us the view as a trekker. It will be lovely to see longer videos where we can feel at calm and relax in our city lives. I wish to tell something for your safety (you may already know it): the car brakes may stop working on large descents, you can use brakes by gearing down the vehicle to first gear when possible. I had my brakes stop working near Nako at Spiti. :D
@indiainmotion
Жыл бұрын
That must have been a scary experience!! I did use engine braking to slow down the car. But it still rolled down the hill at a speed I was not. comfortable with, hence I had to constantly feather the brakes to keep the car under control.
