Ladies! I promise you going grey is life changing! you will no longer be tied to getting your roots dyed. I went cold turkey and once my roots were 1 1/2 inches I got a bomb pixie. It's been two years, my hair is back to shoulder length and there is not a single day that someone doesn't stop me and ask me who did my color. I just say God lol. I'm a salt-pepper grey and my hair has never been healthier.

That's a good idea. I have grey right on the temples so I might consider doing that as it comes in more. Had been trying to grow my hair long but just a few days ago I've been thinking about a really cute cut. 🤷🏾♀️

I have earned EVERY. SINGLE. GRAY. HAIR!!! It's been coming in gradually throughout my head and I love it. I've never really dyed my hair anyway, so I'm not trippin lol. I appreciate this body that's held me for 42 years, even though all my health issues. I wasn't supposed to live to see 33 because of a systematic infection. So I see it as my promise from God that He said ,"Not today, Satan!!!" 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you!
I’m a premature gray. It started when I was 12. It was definitely noticeable in high school, and my classmates pointed it out. Now I’m in my early 30s, and I have so much of it. I’ve never dyed it because I didn’t want to be ashamed of it because society says it’s for “old people” or it makes people age. So, I made it my signature, and it forced me to be cool with who I am. My silver is stubborn. It pokes through braids. Stylists tell me it’s wiry. *sigh* But anyway, her hair is beautiful.

As soon as she turned her head, I screamed Mara!!!!! You made it girl! Mara is the showrunner on shows like The Game, Being Mary Jane, and the epic Girlfriends and had her hands in Moesha, Steve Harvey Show, and The Parkers. She and her husband are Hollywood legends. So proud of you Kee!
She’s beautiful and her hair is beautiful. You did an amazing job as always.

I started going grey in my 20s so by my late 40s it was almost white at the roots. In the end it became resistant to colour so I took the plunge into the natural journey by shaving it all off and starting again. That was 3 years ago and it's now shoulder length and almost white all over. I use purple shampoo on it a couple of times a week to keep it from turning yellow. Natural hair is very freeing, no more worrying about grey roots showing up. I definitely recommend it.

My strawberry blonde hair started getting a few white hairs right at the front when I was about 23. I was not impressed, and used to pull them out. I just turned 51, and it's now a full white patch. You can see it in my photo - I had pink streaks added in for my 50th birthday, and my 2a - 3a hair straightened. Strangely, I'm now getting the same kind of white patches starting all around my head. It almost looks like they've been intentionally put there. Ironic that I used to pull those white hairs out when I was young, and now get young women freaking out about how cool my white patch is when they find out it's natural. 😄 Hair norms sure have changed, and I'm here for it!
I lost most of my hair due to a late diagnosis of an autoimmune disease and when everything settled down, my hair grew back grey. I know it's not for everyone but I love it! It does need a little more TLC but every strand is wisdom. Mara's hair is so beautiful and you did a great job. Blessings and continued success as always xxx

I didnt "go grey" persay, but I have a condition called poliosis, which shows as a spot in the very front of my hair where pigment does not grow. The scalp is light and the hair is silver and it's been that way for most of my life. The hardest part I felt was accepting it, especially with being super young but my biggest reminder to anyone going grey is that I not as bad as it feels. I know that our hair is our greatest accessory but it's also the best story teller. Our accomplishments, our sicknesses, our stress, its all in our hair. Treat your greys as pages in your storybook, the tale it tells is oh so beautiful

I was just reading about this it's similar to vitiligo except for poliosis turns the hair White because they're is no pigmentation in that part of the hair, and vitiligo changes the body with white patches because they're is no pigmentation in that part of the skin that turns White
@starrm780
2 жыл бұрын
@@carmencitadavis9043 yep, although I would say with poliosis, the skin is slightly lighter, but its only in a way you would notice with prolonged staring (aka the kind you do to your own body). Vitiligo makes the skin sheet white
I started seeing grey hairs in my 30’s, but just wasn’t ready to embrace it. I knew the grey was inevitable because both of my parents hair was salt/pepper in their younger years. After letting go of getting relaxers I figured by 40 it was time to embrace my grey! Y’all this was the BEST decision I could have ever made. I am 45 years old aging gracefully with this beautiful grey hair. I am reminded everyday that this is a gift from God. A crown of wisdom! I get compliments everywhere I go and it gives me the opportunity to encourage others to embrace their grey! Thank you for this beautiful video and encouragement!!!! I will continue to embrace my grey!!!!

I always tell my clients that their grey are “natural highlights” and this girl you’re doing looks like she has paid to have this colour! This is the definition of natural highlights for real! 💅 Edit: I also call them wisdom highlights haha
Mara looks absolutely stunning. If I didn’t know I would have thought she colored her hair that way. It looks so beautiful.

So true! And I wish women would feel that way about their bodies and faces too and not let fake social media get in their heads (or eyes). We're all natural beauties!
I love your commentary when people get so happy with the amazing job you do to their hair. Must feel so good to make people happy!!
Like the saying goes "if you can't beat them, join them!!" I've decided not to color my grays no more!! Had a patch of gray since 9 years old, ( I am now 38) and now it's more sporadic throughout my head. When I would dye my hair black the gray would turn brown. I just wish it would hurry up and turn all gray instead of strands here and there!! I'm ready.. She looks beautiful 😍
When I started going grey I was in my early 30s & freaked out! I used to take a black permanent marker and color the white streaks. Now, I'm in my early 50s and have more grey on my crown. I've learned to embrace the grey and in my opinion, it's a classy & sexy look. I get a lot of compliments regarding my hair from women & men. One of my new nicknames is "Silver Fox". I appreciate all the silver strands I have and will grow in the future.
I ❤️ that you showcase ALL textures of Black hair. Every head you touch, you leave w such a beautiful finish! Her hair reminds me of the women in my family of my great grandmas generation! I used to love brushing my Great Aunt's hair 🥰
OMG I literally just had my beautician cut off the last bit of blond. I started graying in my early 40's. Initially I fought it. Plucking here and there and coloring it. Once the pandemic happened I was like the heck with it. I've transitioned from a mohawk to above shoulder length and gray all over. Thank you for sharing your helpful tips as it was right on time.

it's such a beautiful blessing to me and hair is a women's glory and can't wait to see my hair getting thick and beautiful thank you i love your hair product.
The first grey hair I noticed was at 31 and it was an eyelash! A few years later I noticed grey hairs in my brows so I mentioned to my hairdresser that I found it strange that I was graying everywhere except my head. That's when she told me all my greys were in the back on the inside of my ponytail. Finally started seeing them in front a year into the pandemic and I want to color them all the time, not because they bother me, but because I don't have enough yet for that pretty salt and pepper look.
😢 I'm not gonna lie, I'm STILL in my feelings that 'Love Is' got canceled. Thanks for the tip about the paddle brush. Gorgeous work as always. ❤️
I’ve met Mara in soho, she was such a inspiration for me letting my GRAYS growing in. I LOVE my gray
Her hair is so pretty naturally, beautiful! Can't wait to see what you do with it 💖
I’m 34 and decided 2 years ago just to embrace the greys. I have a lot around my hairline and with some blond balayage I love the way it looks
Yes Mara's hair is beautiful 😍. Several weeks ago I noticed she has gray hair and loved the gray around her hairline. This particular picture was of her natural curls. I transition last year after my dad's death Feb 2021. I was tired of keeping up with the coloring and haven't regretted my decision my hair texture is similar to Mara's.
Grey all the way!!! It is sooo freeing!!!! She has such beautiful hair! Have a blessed week every one! ✌️
