We were thinking about doing the ship shore excursions, which we always do when we cruise, but doing an excursion on your own sounds great. So thank you! AND, we'll be able to add another island to our vacation! St. John!

When we went into our beach bag to pull out the waterproof case we were so sad it wasn’t there! 😫 We will definitely be back so we will try to show it then…it really was great snorkeling!!

Just so you know, my wife and I had an excursion planned with our cruise for today but decided to ditch after watching your video last night on our way to St. Thomas. We got off the boat around about 9AM this morning to make our way to the ferry! We’ve had a great time so far at our other ports, but Trunk Bay was the highlight of our trip so far. Thanks for the hard work y’all put into this video!

Thank you for making the video, we were in st Thomas in middle of June and wanted to do ferry to St. John, but we got there, we decided to stay on the island because we had more couples with us this time and didn’t want anyone to feel like their time was waste because of taxi, ferry, taxi, etc but for sure, next time in st Thomas, we’ll be doing this…and yes, we did also look at RC excursion and sadly they were all sold out….

Which one is better st Thomas or St. John?

I had the pleasure of going to Trunk Bay and it was absolutely beautiful.

I really like the beaches in St. Thomas. But I would love the next time I’m in St Thomas I will definitely try to visit St John. Glad you both had a great time.. I’ll be seeing you both next week.. 💕💕

Great video. I never thought of going to St John from St Thomas. Thank you for the idea. I have taken the ferry from St Maarten to St Bart (rough ride do not eat before going & very expensive taxi once you get to St Bart) but the experience was everything.

Great video - How long did you actually have at Trunk Bay?

Great video guys!!!! We've been to St Thomas three times, twice on Celebrity Cruise lines and last summer we rented a house and took the whole family. We did visit St Johns and Trunk Bay and in fact hung out right where you guys are now. Our grandson and my niece's husband spent most of the day snorkeling by the rocks. Now, what makes this video extra special for us is that in exactly 2 weeks, on the 22nd of July, we're flying into St Thomas with my sister, niece and her husband for another week in paradise! This time we're taking the vehicle over to St Johns rather than use the crazy taxi's. SOOO Looking forward to our visit in a couple of weeks!!!

Last year I took my boyfriend to St. Thopi for his birthday. We ended up taking a taxi all the way to red Hook so we could take a ferry to St. John and we spent the day at one of the beaches there it was so beautiful that amazing. I highly recommend the Virgin Islands for anyone who is new to traveling

New to your channel. Saw you on the Rich and Jazzy Life. When you were in the "Melanin at Sea Shirts" I would love to join the Melanin at Sea Group I'm a great-grandmother and me and my husband have been cruising since we married in 1985. Love it. St John was our honeymoon place at a camp site called Maho Bay for a week. And we snorkeled at Truck Bay many times. So happy that you got to experience that. I just subscribed. Love you both. I am a Vegan, 2 years now and I feel I feel terrific. Thanks for the shout out. Keep up the great job.

My favorite spot in the Caribbean is Trunk Bay! First time I snorkeled was there with my husband.

Great video. I've stayed on STJ five times now and wanted you yo know the Crown Bay ferry is excellent. You could have saved the LONG cab ride to Red Hook and had more time on STJ. Though the Crown Bay ferry runs much less often you were already right there!

I was just on harmony! I was on the 6/26-7/3 sailing! Had a wonderful time!

Well think about it this way. You did it on your own and you supported the locals by doing so. With the ship excursions they usually keep a big percentage of the fee.

What!!!!! NO MORE FRIED CHICKEN...no can do. My two grandmother's lived to over 100 eating meat. However. we do eat a lot of greens and beans.🤣🤣🤣

What time do you have to be back on the ship? Gotta love free 99😂. St John is supposed to be the prettiest island among them St Croix and St Thomas. Glad you enjoyed the beach. A flat tire? Oh no. Hey just fyi the haze is caused by condensation in the camera because it is inside of the cruise ship and you are going into much warmer and humid air. The condensation is because the air inside the camera is colder than the outside air, causing the fog on the lens. If you give the camera a few minutes to equalize its temperature with the outside air you wont have the haze. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for this Peter! We learned what was causing it after many times of being frustrated that we couldn’t wipe it away with a cloth 🤣 We are usually on top of this, for some reason weren’t thinking about it on this day. Our room was FREEZING and we went straight from the room to the port

Next time come around the end of June because ST. John had their carnival 4th of the July weekend. ST. Thomas has their carnival the last week in April

Do they have a beach that you can go right onto on St Thomas that's free like Coco Bay in Bahamas? Or do you HAVE to get a taxi to get to the beach?

For the taxi to red hook it says 2 or more $11. Does that mean for 4 people you’re gonna pay $44 one way? And do you know if they count a 3 year old?

My husband and I are going on carnival horizon in April 2024 for our 10 year anniversary. It’s our very first cruise. What are your thoughts on the ship.

We haven’t been on it…had it booked for August 2020 and it was canceled. I’ve heard great things about the Horizon! Im sure you all will have a great time 😊

How far in advance should you look into booking this excursion through Royal? me and my fiancé are going to st Thomas next April for a fun time and also I have family that lives on st John so we are meeting up with them. but trying to figure out how far in advance does this excursion show up as a possibility?

We cannot say since we didn’t book the excursion. I would call Royal to see what day excursions open up for your sailing and book it then.

I’ll have a vegetarian plate next to my medium rare filet mignon 😋
