Adam Duritz is perfection vocally on this song! What a sweet song.
I remember Nanci Griffith performing at Tulsa Junior College in the 1990s when my father taught there. I was a very young child at the time, but I"ll never forget this album. It holds a special place in my heart.
My favorite when I was questioning a love. I live in Houston...your collaboration is fantastic. Adam Duritz...fantastic!
Bless her spirit and thank the powers of the universe for giving us Nanci Griffith and her beautiful voice for a few years on earth. I just listened to her cover some Townes Van Zandt's tunes with Steve Earle and Emmylou Harris. Ethereal.
Never heard of her before 20 minutes ago. Definitely going to be listening to her a lot! This is what country music should be.
She's singing with John Prine what a show RIP 🙏
Will never forget you Nanci. God has you now.
This is a perfect recording of a perfect song.
World needs more great duets like this one.
in any event it was kind of you and Adam to tweak off-key so artfully as to make this song work. Surely I've never heard two vocalists bend at once, but you two did, and the Jerry Garcia tribute is just very sweet. Most kind. What a joyous effort, the listener's end. It must be hard for you to give way.
what a terrific duet! what a great song! "But that big city singin' man, I like the way that it shines" - two big singers - great song
I love the bent notes but really we aren't the ones but rather the Louisianne who started all that, bless them.
Oh the city snow makes your brown eyes shine
Awesome song! Thank you for sharing!
I always turn up the volume when this song comes on KPIG.
A fond and fun tribute to Georgia but really we don't deserve it.
You have a beautiful voice like Judy Collins!!!!
I remember now.
