Dude your sense of humour is golden

Ive had mine since they first came out. still works beautifully. Back in the day it was on auto as I didnt have a clue about using manual. Now I do and what a little beauty it is. So glad I kept it and dug it out again after seeing your video. Thanks a lot

That was pretty awesome camera. I used it from 2010 to 2017. But time is showed that this camera is super old

love your videos, they make me smile. and this is a very hard task to achieve

My mom and dad bought one when I was only 1 year old and now I'm still taking it to my classes and making memories with each other with that Mine was almost broken, the lens is quite dirty and the screen has dark edges and a horizontal line across the screen but even though, I still use it everyday

I use one of these stuffed into a fairing pocket on my bike, just for things I come across on my journeys. So far, I've had little to complain about, but the lack of a VF is a bit of a pain in the arse. I'd not buy another compact without a VF, it's such an important thing for me.

Came for the photography - stayed for the humour

Nice Camera and good made video, with nice shots. Like cameras with CCD sensors and I have some. For example a Cannon Powershot A450. With greetings from lower Bavaria.

I have and once in a while use one of a few vintage CCD digicams I own, but they all have optical viewfinders, a dealbreaker for me ✅

My Digicams are the Canon Powershot G6, the Canon Powershot Clamshell S70, and the iconic Canon Powershot SD100, which was featured in a long running exhibit at The Museum Of Modern Art in NYC when introduced ✅

I may get one of these if the price is right. I just reviewed the s95.

No I don’t think so. There might be one out there that makes you dial in a convincing film look, but the two camera types feel nothing alike and the end results are clearly different too.

Funny your generation is doing 1st generation/2nd generation digital. While many in mine are doing some form of film. I wanted something between two worlds and I’ve had two Polaroid SX-70 instant cameras refurbished. Those make 35mm film seem super affordable in comparison

I’ve been shooting film too. Got a few videos in the pipe line like the Voigtlander Vitomatic, Olympus XA2 and the Instax 210.

After the SX200 the build quality dropped

Bought myself Canon SX120is for 5€ i think its a bargain

CCD не все одинаково хороши. Самый лучший цвет у ранних камер из 2005 го, 2006, 2007 года, у которых 3, 4, 5 мегапикселей. Например canon ixus 30, был у меня такой. Или Nikon coolpix 4600. Или более продвинутые камеры тех времен, зеркалки, например. Позднее они все испортили - накрутили много мегапикселей сделали контрастную обработку jpeg и цвет стал плохой. Его все еще можно добыть даже из этих камер, нужно снимать в неконтрастном профиле и делать постобработку на компьютере. Но это лишняя возня. Не каждый этим щахочет заниматься.

Yeah, I know geartube needs you to create content, but I dusted off my SX200 today, and it‘s a piece of shit. The pics look ok on a small screen, but if you zoom in you can see that there’s hardly hardly any detail. The auto focus sucks ass as well. Hell, even the RAW files (I installed CHDK) have no dynamic range and no details, they‘re a mess.

Don't see any special look either. The quality reminds me of my Nokia N95 photos though.

Some of the shots look cool but I don’t think they’re worth jumping on the CCD train for. I’ll try out some of the higher end cameras to make doubly sure.

I kind of enjoy your work but the dreadful distracting muzak is letting you down.
