Scar king being a fraud king is what makes him my favorite Monsterverse villain yet, I still love Ghidorah, and consider him a way bigger threat, but there was so much I loved about Scar king. Just like a mentioned, he was a false king, ruling by fear. If it weren't for Shimo, he would have gotten his ass beaten by Kong, his whole aspect of a fraud villain, who rules others by fear with a stolen power to back him up is unique for the Monsterverse, and I love it He was ruthless af, he was a bastard through and through, and the way he was introduced was menacing and gave me quite a chill, and I love how his treatment of poor Shimo sealed his fate, he asked for it. Also, his personality is just amazing, genuinely taking great joy of torturing the apes and Shimo, laughing at Kongs new tooth, and then getting the same treatment was just a chefs kiss All in all, I really enjoyed him as a Monsterverse kaiju villain, he is not perfect by any means, but he is good enough for me. Shame he got the one off movie treatment, because I don't think someone could come back after getting shattered into pieces, all though a prequel movie of a titan war, like you said, would be a great way to bring him back, maybe by making him a far more youthful, agile, able to actually fight with Goji.

I also found it interesting how he fought Godzilla before and lost. It's like a tyrannical warlord going against a mystic wild beast in an attempt to conquer more territory. The beast won because he's more larger and feral. And Kong is like a western antihero with a noble heart while Shimo's the tyrant's powerful but innocent slave, kinda similar/like Drago Bludfist and the bewilderbeest. Kong's Kratos + Naruto while Godzilla's Goku + Doomslayer In the end, Godzilla and Kong are both forces to be reckoned with, but they have aspects that made them so unique

Yeah I disagree that skar king would've gotten bodied by Kong without shimu. He beat Kong handily in their first fight and shimu was like a 'haha fuck you' to Kong. I saw people saying Kong was winning that first fight against skar king before the movie came out, but now that it's out that couldn't be more wrong. Skar won that first fight.

If Kong dies it’s gonna ruin the monsterverse. The monsterverse is made of Godzilla and Kong. You can’t do it without them. Killing Kong is a terrible idea. He deserves a new story and a new ending. They could do for him what they did for Kong and introduce his son. Godzilla is currently the last of his kind, and it would be hilarious to see this guy try to be a father. It would also give him a good arc if they bring in Destroyah, forcing Godzilla to sacrifice himself to protect the earth and pass the torch. There's definitely more they could do.

I loved this movie. I left the theater with a smile on my face. Scar King showed us that he's a coward. Once Kong got the upper hand, he immediately called on Shimu to take care of Kong.

Kong was like one punch man he was just knocking out apes with one punch in this movie😂

This movie took me back to my childhood playing with the Godzilla and Mothra Toys man. Pure mindless fun . Like a Saturday morning cartoon with a budget . Loved this movie

As a Godzilla fan I loved this movie, Godzilla may not technically be the main one we follow but when you do see him he’s a badass I saw it twice in the same day this movie has ended up on my second favorite spot under king of the monsters. I also love where Godzilla decides to sleep at, seems very fitting

Any time Suko was on screen I was really cracking up 😂

11:49-12:00 I was dying laughing too and in my theater I screamed out “HOLY SH*T!” My theater didn’t really hear me because how loud the movie was. I loved this movie and I hope they still keep these movies like that.

i love how noticeably godzilla had an advantage during the 0 gravity scene because he is the only one there that is amphibious and swims regularly and fights in the water which is very similar to 0 gravity. In fact astronauts practice walking in there space suits under water in some training situations.

I liked it, i found the human parts better than GvK and the kaiju action was fun. I didn't expect the pacing to be crazy fast this time around. I wished we got more Godzilla and the final battle in Rio could've been improved along with Skar King being more of a threat. As for the future of the Monsterverse, i hope we get solo films for both kaijus. And if there is a third team up film, you gotta do Destroyah.

I feel like that's probably because at this point Godzilla is kinda an unstoppable force, like he didn't really have any injuries at all throughout the entire movie, he tore through two other titans like paper in the movie and the ice dragon and scar king was kinda just dodging all his shots too probably because if they got hit by it the movie would be a lot shorter.

I saw the movie and Im a HUGE Godzilla fan since age 5 (im 35) he was WAY too strong. What you guys are not thinking about is how badass Skar king would have been if the Japanese didnt nerf him AND Shimo. In fact im sure the japanese made legendary nerf tiamat, scilla AND Kong (WHO STILL has no lightning powers) Take Scar King for example, to 1. Have such a small build but be big enough of a threat to lock him away 2. How he was able to create his weapons being a literal animal, choke kong out with those weapons, and have literal martial arts ability e3. How cunning you have to be to have 100 titans (of any kind) follow you instead of gang up on you and beating you 4. How he was able to control the mother of titans. For him to be able to do all that it was being set up for him to be a MASSIVE THREAT. Godzilla was stronger than Shimo, Skar King, Scilla, and Tiamat combined. That is ABSOLUTE Japanese propaganda horsecrap. Godzilla killed Tiamat in .00000003 seconds, Im a Godzilla fan but the Japanese done turned godzilla into GOKU and that ruined everything. 5/10 movie as is, would have been 9/10 if the other titans were stronger. Whats next? Godzilla is gonna fly into space and one shot space godzilla in 2 seconds lol.

Just saw it today. And I didn't think I would feel this way, but the more I think about it, the more I like it. It was so much fun all the way through. The only parts I thought were slower was the whole tribe telepath stuff. But overall, loved the action, loved the CGI, loved Kongs story and I LOVED the soundtrack. When Twight Zone started playing, my sister and I got big smiles.

I’ve always been a huge Godzilla fan. My boy Goji was tearing shit up!, but Kong always had my respect. When Kong was cornered he put his fists up in a boxing stance! Ready to fight! I became Instant fan! This movie was great!!!! I enjoyed it a lot. I love Shimo I can’t to see more of this titan in the future if they show her again.

Never apologize for “yapping”. You made incredibly valid points. I loved this movie, so much so I’ve seen it three times now, but I agree. The next movie has to be more serious. There needs to be more risk. The sense that our hero monsters could very well be killed. We’ll see what happens. Excellent review my friend. I’m liking and subscribing.

Thought the Godzilla scenes were really well done. liked the one part where Godzilla is going underwater, and there's that shot you just see his face, thought that was really nice. Really thought the monster fights were really awesome I thought . Godzilla , Kong short rematch was fun to watch. Kong tossing sand in Godzillia's face made me laugh. feel like Godzilla did get some really good moments in here, even though the movie is defiantly leaning towards more Kong centered. Godzillia going to the different power stations, thought it interesting, each time he got more power, his look changed from gray to blue to the pink (the pink diddn't bother me). Scar King, not sure if I would call him a great villain or even a just ok villain, he was brutal and savage and very cruel and a threat, but if Scar King didn't have that blue crystal, I do not think he would still be a large threat. I will say this, I liked how the people who made this movie, used brand new monsters, to be the villain's for this movie. Though Shimiu, isn't really a villain , Shimiu just got controlled by Scar King. I am curious if Shimiu, will show up in the likely next Godzilla Kong movie. Shimiu seems like an interesting character, that has potential I think. Soku, at first I wasn't liking Soku, but after Kong shared his meal with Soku, he becomes more of an sidekick to Kong, curious to see what happens with Soku's character going forward. will he continue to tag along with Kong or do his own thing? I liked the quieter moments with Kong, where he's just interacting with Soku, or wandering around hollow earth. Thought the young girl who communicates with Kong, Jia, thought her story here I thought it was interesting.

I love your content, your joy for this genre. Big Goji fan here but I also like Kong too. Godzilla giving Kong a suplex was hilarious- I was on the floor. Kong, his hand on his head shaking off the cobwebs seemed to be thinking " wtf was THAT?! Did Goji just give me a wwe suplex?!!" 😅

Yes I’ve been waiting for this video all day. Just got done seeing it today and I loved it.

I honestly had very few problems with the film. It's nice to get a movie that just takes for granted that you don't need everything explained to death to enjoy it. It's for fun, so just give it the benefit of the doubt and enjoy.

Ngl the moment I saw “Titanus: Destroyer” during the arctic scene, I was so scared of them using Destroyah because imo, I don’t think he should be used yet. Even worse I joked with a friend of mine being like “Imagine if they hinted at Destroyah being in the GXK” then it happened 😔 BUT, I would love if they setup Gigan & Jet Jaguar for the next movie. Or even other monsters too like Hedorah, king Cesar, or even Megalon. Which ever direction they go next, I’m hyped for it!

To clarify, Titans are divided into two types. Guardians (Godzilla, Kong, Mothra etc.) who protect the Earth and Destroyers (Ghidorah, Scylla etc.) who threaten it.

Me and the kids had a blast. People in my theater were laughing, yelling and clapping. The kid next to me was throwing punches in the air. I literally shouted in my best JR “my God in Heaven” when Godzilla threw out a suplex.

Hey Chris so Gia is I guess this universe’ version of the twins who were telepathically connected to Mothra and that’s why she has the vision and can understand Kong and mothra yes Kong can communicate thru sign language but she also can understand all the kaijus thoughts I guess. Loved the reviews and I can’t wait to watch blood and honey 2😍

Here's why I think this movie works so much better than something like a Transformers sequels and that's this movie does a great job at visual storytelling and there's so much heart surrounding Kong. Like one of my favorite moments was so brief, but it was when Skar King heard Godzilla. The look on his face says it all. There's fear then rage

The bay transformers movies sucked because bay forgot that the transformers are just as much characters as humans and not just explosion porn. Luckily The reboot movies fixed that. The new movies also don’t have racism so that’s a plus

Honestly, I didn't mind the fact Godzilla was sprinkled in this movie. I honestly still enjoyed it. I loved every part of it. I didn't mind.

Loved this but like you I’m so surprised some of the other YT reviewers did t like it. So many thoughts…I don’t think it was cartoonish at all, when ppl say that are they talking about the pink color Godzilla turned, the movie explained why that occurred and it wasn’t even a cartoonish pink. I never got cartoonish from this film. Also I enjoyed the exposition bc it allowed us to get right back to Kong and Godzilla. If it weren’t for the exposition there would be way more narrative and time spent on HOW the humans learned about scar’s history. It’s like on one hand we’re like less humans but on the other we’re like we need more time to understand how they got to this point…respectively, no we don’t LOL…back to Kong. I do agree it would’ve been super cool to see Kong sit on the throne but I also enjoyed humble Kong 🫶☺️. The complaints about the humans are nuts to me bc there’s like maybe four in this movie and they have such a small slice of the story and none of them are awful are hard to like imo like in the other films. Great review!!! And thank you for not caving in and criticizing this movie bc a few others did, thanks for being true!✨

not every movie needs to have somekind of deep meaning that very thought provoking, sometimes movie jsut needs to be F.U.N. also the problem with the transformers movies is that they kept repeating the formula with relic of the day. honestly if they really wanted to, i could see them doing a full movie without any humans because they humanized Kong and Godzilla enough even the villains like Skar king had alot of personality to show what they are thinking. and like u said alot of heart with them. that ending shot with all 3 of them really remind me of something from the Lion King. also for people who say there was very little Godzilla, i feel like he has just enough scenes to make him have a big presents, especially that scene with Godzilla heading to Kong when he comes up to go to the dentist, that was very intense

I agree but they're going to have to buff Destroyah into the stratosphere. Otherwise, Godzilla Evolved is one shotting him with ease. Big man is unstoppable.

I'm wondering for the future of Kong and Godzilla in the next movie like who was going to be the next villain because this feels unfair to the next villain seriously though the next villain is going to have to fight Shimo, Godzilla evolve, King Kong, and don't forget about the 200 Apes that King Kong is now the king of they're going to have to make the next villain extremely powerful the only one I can think of would be Biollante because it gets stronger over time.

When kong threw the sand in Godzillas eyes I instantly thought “Pocket sand!” and I know others in the theater thought the same bc they busted out laughing

Solo Godzilla movie for the villain we can't have no space characters because the monsterverse isn't at that level yet same with destoryah. Destroyah won't be good to implement because hes like a endgame threat i would love to see him. The character we should get is biolante it can easily be implemented since all the place Godzilla went caused alot of destruction. my opinion

26:02 apparently there was some Godzilla king of the monsters concept art of showing Godzilla and a bunch of classic Toho monsters including gigen but if legendary wants to use those monsters they would have to pay an expensive price to use them so they scraped it.

I had the theater all to myself when I saw this yesterday. Absolutely loved it like all the Monsterverse films.

I was dying when Kong was just chucking Baby Kong around, the rag dolling was just to good

Uhhhh….No. ***SPOILERS*** They are building up Kong to be the human protector. Godzilla is going to seemingly die fighting Destroyah. We are getting two individual movies to lead up to the Evil Godzilla Vs. Kong. With Godzilla having seemingly perished against Destroyah. It leaves the surface world and Monarch at a loss. But enter the new face of Apex claiming to be able to resurrect Godzilla through gene splicing and replicating. Tricking Monarch into taking the lead on this venture. As what happens next is we get Biollante. After fighting Destroyah, Godzilla/Biollante will become another ploy by Apex, as it turns on humanity and puts the blame on Monarch squarely. This will bring Apex to unveil Mecha-Kong. Yes, we are getting a Mecha-Kong! Mecha-Kong will defeat Biollante, considering Apex already knows what will put the evil Godzilla down. Leaving Monarch looking like irresponsible fools. At the end we will see an egg hatch, from it will come a very obvious baby Godzilla.(Possibly intended to be Manila/Minya.) We will also see the defeated and desiccated remains of Biollante be shot into space via Apex, claiming it will burn up upon re-entry into Earths atmosphere. Of course we all know that it instead Becomes Evil Godzilla(Space Godzilla) leading into the actual rematch KONG VS. GODZILLA. Mirroring the old series of movies. BUT FIRST….We get the next Kong solo film. Which means it’s Kong Vs. Mecha-Kong. Although the majority is fleshed out story wise it is still being plotted. Is the egg an identical Godzilla? Or are we given hope by what eventually will become Minilla/Minya to which Kong will be charged with Suko in protecting and rearing. Thats still being worked out.

One of my favorite parts was the portal jump into Hollow Earth 😁 Loved how the sequence confirmed it as this whole new world and dimension with different laws of physics. It also reminded me of the jump sequence from Guardians 2.

Don’t let others sway your opinion or have you second guessing it. I enjoyed the movie too! I really loved how we knew exactly what was being said by the titans without any actual dialogue. I could’ve done without the 0 gravity part and I wish the end fight was a little longer but still very enjoyable!
