They should build up Destoroyah over the course of the movies to lead to an all out Monster War. Maybe do a Modern GODZILLA: Final Wars type of thing. That, or a SpaceGODZILLA. And that one should be directed by Guillermo del Toro with his experience in making great designs for the monsters, and lighting effects where they are needed.

Man I loved the 2014 tone, the movie was so tense because the titans were regarded with actual fear and reverence. It was heavy and epic, and it had mystery to it (titans being “new” and all). The Hollow Earth has so much potential!

I think they saw each other differently, Godzilla possibly misinterpreted Kong helping him from before when he had him pinned down and he roared in his face. Plus the symbolism of Kong dropping his axe when Godzilla looked at him. I just think that at the moment, Godzilla probably thinks that Kong accepted that he was below him while Kong saw it as he sees Godzilla as an ally.

Why go through the effort to negotiate for only 1 more movie? If you're going to negotiate, negotiate for another series of movies! Godzilla vs Kong brought attention and opened the door to a wider audience. The potential story plots are wide open to take the series to the next level. JUST DO IT!

I’m fine with Wingard doing another Kong film. As for Godzilla, I’d like them to take what they did with GvK cinematically but with the tone of 2014. Maybe bring over elements of the 1994 script since Terry Rossio worked on GvK.

Legendary should negotiate with the studio that owns Gamera into add him to the Monsterverse.

There's no guarantee Godzilla will ever appear in the monsterverse again. Toho has not re-negotiated and extended the deal with legendary. Perhaps they are waiting for the reception of the movie in Japan

@@ValentinoMarino11 It sucks how Godzilla is kind of the secondary character in GvK. This movie was so Kong focused, that it basicly can be called Kong: Skull Island 2. And what makes it worse, is that its Godzillas last movie. The movie opens with Kong and ends with Kong. Kong gets the plot, character development, and emotional growth all centered around him. Kong this and Kong that. Godzilla started the Monsterverse, and is its star. So it sucks bad that Godzillas farewell movie, his loving send of from the Monsterverse, is a supporting role in a Kong movie. Honestly, King of the Monsters would have been better as the final Godzilla movie. Instead of him just swimming off into the ocean, and Kong running around, imagine that epic final shot of KotM being the way Godilla exists the Monsterverse, the last time we see him. THAT would be a proper send off.

Ren was a wasted Villain, he could've been a standalone Villain by himself

Would love to see a standalone or duo film with Mothra and Rodan since I doubt they'd sell well individually which is unfortunate cause they're such fun characters. A "buddy cop" movie with Kong and Godzilla could also be pretty fun though like you said they should be sparing Godzilla appearances the next few films so that it doesn't become monotonous

I just saw Godzilla vs. Kong yesterday, been enjoying a ton of Godzilla/Monsterverse stuff lately so is great to hear a new movie might be in discussion!

Godzilla standalone film idea: I want to see Godzilla in the ocean chilling having a good time, not knowing what is going on in the world, or what humanity is creating. Near the ocean floor, Godzilla sees large roots connecting to somewhere, but Godzilla can’t quite make out what it is. He keeps moving and moving, while hearing a strange movement in the distance, but ignores it and does not see what it is being attached to. However all of the sudden the movement and the sound of something walking and swimming gets louder and louder, he can not just think of it as himself because he is now floating in the ocean not moving. The roots suddenly start pulling away slowly, but it does not go in the way Godzilla was originally moving, but it started moving behind him. Godzilla turns around, and sees a blue darkness infront of him as bubbles start to come to his eyes, and rumbling, and dust from the ocean floor, we’re the rumbling came from. Godzilla roared, yelling for whatever was happening, to be revealed, and then, slowly coming in the distance as it walked, he saw something percular, a giant leaf to Godzilla right side, and a moving snake like animal that suddenly came dashing to godzilla, but Godzilla avoiding its attack. Then, the snake went back to what it was attached to, all Godzilla saw, were roots going up to what looked like a flower, a rose, a walking rose, not knowing its origins, or what it may do in the future. Godzilla roared once again, and felt his body getting more energy from the bottom, ready to blast, as the walking plant, came closer and closer.

I’m just going to say this, if we are only getting one more entry to the monster verse, I’d rather not have another kong film. Kong got a certain level of closure with making it to the hollow earth. Godzilla still has some very powerful enemies that I know everyone would like to see him fight. Such as Space Godzilla or even Destroyah. If we get one film for kong and ANOTHER for Godzilla I feel like that would be best.

Why does everyone keep calling it a Godzilla vs kong sequel? It’s clearly a kong sequel. If it was a Godzilla vs kong sequel, it would have both Godzilla and kong in it and it would be called something like “Godzilla vs kong: destroy all monsters”

I would absolutely LOVE to see another mosterverse movie. I think with their only being 4 movies, it could definitely be expanded. If it does expand I Titan I would love to see is.. Biollante! I think that if they add a Heisei villain they could end up expanding the series even further, with Titans such as Space Godzilla, Destorah, Maybe even M.U.T.O Prime.

Yooo this is great to hear. Hopefully we get to see Biollante or Space Godzilla next. Then close the series off with Destroya.

Lots of dialogue between the kaiju... Godzilla can tell Kong about the old days, before the puny humans infested the planet. Oh, and they can talk about their favorite foods, philosophy, and the three headed alien asshat that tried to wreck the planet.

I loved everything franchise and dare I say it's better than DC it's better than Marvel because unlike Marvel they didn't kill off a lot of well known characters the site you know the King Ghidorah I would love to see Destoroyah make a comeback

I like to imagine that ghidorah is the equivalent of godzilla in his planet(classic godzilla). A being created by the alien civilisation recklessness, that started punishing them for their sin, becoming the ultimate life form on his planet before starting attacking others.

Let the monsterverse continue

If we were to get more movies i would want them to be: Kong: Hollow Earth Mothra (featuring Mothra leo) RODAN Godzilla vs Gigan Godzilla vs Kong: BC King Kong Godzilla: Destroy all Monsters

I love Kong don't get me wrong, but I'd much prefer to see more classic monsters make an apperance like destroryah (think I spelt that right), space godzilla and Gigan.

Though if he needs to expand his fanbase like Godzilla did he needs more movies. Besides, they've been squeezing Godzilla for milk for 60 years. I think the time has come for Kong.

It sure will be one epic sequel. Also Kong will be one proud Monki father in this possible sequel. Also I hope y'all have good day.

Actually I think it was a bunch of Kongs fighting ONE Godzilla, Monsterverse Godzilla. Its in the books, Godzilla is the only member of his species.

I actually want Adam Wingard to be the director of another Monsterverse movie, mostly because he did so well with "Godzilla vs. Kong", so I guess it wouldn't kill me for Adam to direct a few more Monsterverse movies.

But also explaining Godzillas connection to the hollow earth power would be cool

I am happy it is Wingard, I think he gets the Kaiju fandom and also knows who to reach the audience who are not familiar.

It’s because overall he’s the more like able character. He makes better sales in the box office, and it’s easier for the movie to revolve around him due to his human characteristics

Not too surprising since he's easier to characterize, the original King Kong and 2005 are arguably the most critically acclaimed "monster" movies, and I'm sure licensing the Toho monsters is a chore in of itself. They're just being smart about it in case the Godzilla rug gets swept under their feet in the future for whatever reason why.
