Horrifyingly enough, there are several studies done on the phenomena experienced by eyewitness survivors of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that there was what is called “Black Rain” which fell from the sky, almost resembling blood. That and the shadows of innocent people that were blasted onto the walls where they stood are just two of the very frightening phenomena with nuclear devastation. The scene with Koichi screaming as tar falls from the sky is probably close to what the black rain looked like during the bombings. Horrifying stuff.

Exactly! It's remind me to some of Linkin Park's songs from A Thousand Suns album, and that album was also talk about nuclear wars too just makes it more perfect for me

it's called "Minus one" because after world war 2, japan was back to "0". they are essentially clinging to anything they have and slowly rebuilding and godzilla showing up in japan is a threat that can destroy the remaining things they have. basically godzilla threatens them to go from "0" to "minus 1".

Nice reaction! I don’t believe you noticed but you should look at Noriko’s neck during the scene when she is shown in the hospital, pretty interesting stuff.

Godzilla has always been able to regenerate and heal quickly, it’s just that this particular movie has put the biggest emphasis on his regeneration so far.

Fun fact: Takashi Yamazaki the director of this film is a big fan of Godzilla, he also featured Godzilla as cameo in "Always: Sunset on Third Street" on 2005 and he is the director of "Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle" which have same design for Godzilla in this film

Another thing i point out that i dont think a lot of ppl picked up on is that becuz this is suppose to be like the first godzilla, this one isnt immune to his atomic breath (heat wave). So when he shoots it, it hurts himself, which is why you see his face destroyed and he was regenerating along with waiting to charge up. I thought it was a cool thing to do since godzilla has always been infamous for using it nonstop and how the humans were able to use it to their advantage.

respect from Romania. I noted with regret how praised this film is. It is ridiculous. It is only saved by the special effects. The separate shots of people-monsters are too frequent, the script is a catastrophe and the interpretation too expressive of these Japanese men who look like some pampered little girls when it should have been a masculine attitude made me waste my time unnecessarily. how stupid can you be to appreciate such a film, I ask.

It was so worth seeing this movie in theaters! It was such a surreal experience ❤ definitely one of if not the best Godzilla movie I have ever seen in my life! This movie a so deserved the Oscar!! Godzilla is the scariest he’s ever been and the characters are so incredible! The action is intense and amazing! I love your reaction so much! Thank you for watching this masterpiece!!✨♥️😊

In all the movie Big G was just wandering around the surface of the Earth doing his own thing up to an including post-mutation. It was ONLY when the humans attacked him that he became pissed. We agree him stomping around and making a mess is a problem, but we also must acknowledge he was just doing his own thing.

The fire bombings of Tokyo happened in March of that year, and the atomic bombs were dropped in August The war is already over in Japan surrendered right after the second bomb was dropped

It's called "Minus One" because Japan was at it's lowest point in it's history just after World War 2. Japan was at zero... Godzilla comes and brings them into the negative.

Dude something about that spotlight scene at the beginning triggered like a deep, primal feeling of panic in me that I've never felt watching a movie before and I love horror movies. I don't know exactly what made me react in that way, but it was in its own category. That was an emotion I didn't know I have. Scanning a sea of darkness with a light and suddenly coming across that thing screaming and charging you is horrifying. Not a good way to go.

It's reason for attacking? As I understood it, it's attacking because it had a nuke explode in it's face, the sheer amount of pain it went through probably means that it now wants revenge on All of humanity, it just arrived in Japan first because it was the closest.

It's called minues one because zilla has not yet become a monster God. The next one, Godzilla will be indestructible.
