I still can't get over the fact that one of Mothra's special attacks is barfing out her larval offspring to use as an explosive. Even Battra would be shitting bricks. 😳

Godzilla: Domination was my first Godzilla game ever, so it has a special place in my heart! It makes me glad to know it has an original version in Japan with some nice changes.

2:27 another difference you can see is that the us version uses the heisei looking chest while the Japanese has the scarred chest of the Tokyo sos Godzilla proving what you said about it trying to be a tie in with the film

Fun fact: Wayforward used the same level start jingle from this in the Shantae Advance demo before that game got cancelled.

If we're doing Japanese Godzilla games, then you should do *Gojira - Kaijuu Daikessen* (translated to Godzilla - Monster War). It's the sequel to PC Engine game Godzilla Battle Legends, and it trades the first game's high roster size for more in-depth characters and better audio in most departments.

The English translation of "Gojira: Kaiju Daikessen" would be "Godzilla: Great Decisive Monster Battle."

Your original video on Godzilla: Domination was what motivated me to by the game. To this day I will frequently replay it and the last boss battle against Mecha-King Ghidorah is some of the most fun I’ve ever had on Gameboy Advanced.

Mib really needs to review the Pipeworks trilogy on the consoles, even the Wii version of Unleashed and maybe covered the Unleashed mod that fixes most of Wii’s issues with the motion controls

Something I noticed about the Japanese version. In addition to being colored more similarly to how he was in Tokyo S.O.S, Godzilla’s sprite also bears the scar Kiryu gave him with the Absolute Zero Cannon. This seems to be absent in the American version.

Should have mentioend that the final boss was originally going to be Biollante instead of Mecha King Ghidora which is why he appeared so big in compare.

domination and sonic battle were probably the games i played most a s a kid on the gameboy, even into early DSi era. it was quite the enjoyable expirience.

i found a desktop emulator of Domination and played the shit out of it during pandemic lockdown. A great game to pass the time, especially by trying out all the different monsters' attacks and the MKG boss fight. I'll be sure to check out this version too!

Fun fact: the first review of this game MIB did convinced me to buy it and its the best decision i have ever made!

Godzilla Domination is fun but it sucks they scrapped Anguirus & Gigan

Short, but good and funny

I would love to see a modern part of this game that includes everything both versions of the game has as well as a couple extra monsters and reskins and recolors of different monsters I already have access to the American version of the game so I'm happy enough as is that doesn't mean I don't still want to see it with new stuff added

I do wish that Mecha Godzilla could use the absolute zero cannon instead of the electric chest beam, that would be a neat difference from the two versions.

Godzilla domination is a very fun game took me a while to find a physical copy but I finally got one although no box but I'm fine with that because getting it complete is very pricey.

All physical media should come with free toys. Bought a lot of those LEGO DC movies just for the unique little Lego figures they came with.

Instead of changing Godzilla to have the gray coloration and that rather sexy chest scar, they should've just remade the sprite to match the Godzilla it's based on

We need godzilla domination 2 which has even more monster and other kaiju movie in it

I like Godzilla fighting games even though I never played any except Godzilla vs on the ps4 and Godzilla defense force and Godzilla strike zone and Godzilla smash 3 on Mobile

On the american version, the is a way to change the color but sadly I don't remember how but I did do it many times, you can also change the Mecha-Godzilla to kyru from what I remember. I could be extremely wrong though.

I remember playing this when I was younger. Had it on My DS. I would send hours on it trying to defeat mecha ghidorah lol.

I think my favorite about the Japanese box-art of this version is just King Ghidorah in the background. The reason is because the left head has a dissimilar expression by looking extremely perplexed. It's almost as if he's thinking: "Are we actually doing this? You guys are taking this way too seriously."

Finally used and bought something from Buyee...and god it was the most painful experience I had. It would have been cheaper if I bought it from Japan. The 2000 yen thing isn't for buying stuff it's only used for shipping. I spent $30 on a Japanese DS game, $20 for shipping to the warehouse and another $20 to ship to America. I could have just spent $35 on it on ebay.

Also apparently I missed the package Friday so I have to wait until today(monday) and have to wait at the door for them to hand it to me instead of just leaving it on the porch.

I only played domination for the first time last year I knew it existed but because I played the god awful ds version of Godzilla Unleashed I just assumed that domination would also be bad since they bolth where portable counterparts to the Atari Pipe Works Godzilla games.

I played this version much more than US version because it had Godzilla being right colors🤣🤣🤣

Dude, please tell me where on buyee you got this game. I've been looking on, like, every store buyee supports. I need that Kiryu man, he's the best. Absolute favorite kaiju, hands down.
