@cxrpsie yes, seriously. He wouldn't have powered up if he knew he didn't need it. And yes, the movie did show that it worked! He was able to raise his body temp in mid-air in order to break through the frozen ice shimo hit him with. And, unlike Kong, he suffered no frost bite and was able to continue without suffering anything hindering his mobility.

There is evidence. In the movie they star that a “Godzilla who ate a star” sealed up the scar king. This is obviously referencing Space Godzilla, one of godzillas strongest enemies alongside Ghidorah and Destroyah. Godzilla will probably need this power if he is to face off against Space Godzilla and, eventually, face Destroyah (who has been teased since KOTM due to the usage of the oxygen destroyer which created Destroyah in his movie)

@@daslemonke No, he cannot. Thats not been confirmed yet, even in the recent movie. The one shown was a nuclear pulse, not a thermonuclear. His evolved form has not shown it can also do a nuclear pulse yet. But assuming it can(which is most likely certain), it still would not be called a thermonuclear pulse.

Shimo's ice is strong so godzilla needed that thermoregulation skill to counter it.

I agree but for that to happen, there's going to be a 42 year jump to where he's mutated up to that point. It's extremely plausible but major year jump.

It was pretty clear Godzilla was more worried about Shimo far more than Skar King himself

During the trailer I was thinking:"wait Godzilla did not know shimo or skar king was coming yet but why did he evolve then?"

In the movies they say, that the war with skar king and lot of kongs. End up with godzilla win, but left with fatal wounds. And godzilla lock up skar king, shimo, and bunch of kong under hollow earth part. So this time, godzilla prepared to go to war alone again all of those kongs and shimu. He did even think he gonna fight together with king kong. Thats why he need to power up.

The movie studio wanted to sell more Godzilla toys, so the best way to do that is to change Godzilla, so consumers would buy the new toys.

I hope they will bring Destroyah to the movie. In the Japanese series, Destroyah was strong enough to tank Thermo Godzilla's blasts where King Ghidora got crushed after 2 blasts. Thermo Godzilla also couldn't beat Destroyah without the help from the human forces.

Why do pages keep saying he overpowered Shimo? He didn't. He literally would've lost 1v1 but Shimo was forced to keep going for Kong. Even nearly killed him if not for Mothra saving him before he finished freezing.

And when she nearly froze godzilla solid and killed him, he only was able to break out because Mothra saved him at the last second and stopped Shimo before he finished freezing. They will need to retcon some things if they want to include shimo in ancient battle. Shimo was never mentioned in kotm director or in murals. Director himself has stated Godzilla to best ghidorah and put him in ice. No mention of shimo in the past. Shimo is pretty much a new titan. So how could a newly created titan just suddenly pop in the established world?

Shimu and godzilla's fight was interruoted by that bald Skar king many times and she was seemingly almost always in tremendous pain because of that bald Skar King's crystal. It would be pretty rad to see some Heisei era enemies. Space Godzilla or Destroyah would be AWESOME enemies to bring into the Monsterverse.

Look back at the fights when shimo was completely focused on Godzilla, she pushed him back and tossed him around. if she stood on her Hein legs it would be over for godzilla, he wouldn't stand muck a chance then. @tylerw1134 No she didn't. He literally stood toe to toe with her and he was smaller than her. I literally just watched this movie the other day and remember that fight clearly. Godzilla was running both her and Scar in the solo match up. She isn't a creature who naturally fights on her hind legs so no it wouldn't have been over because Godzilla absolutely primarily fights on his hind legs.

People are really downplaying Shimo. Shimo wasn’t able to really fight in top form because the stuff the Scar King was doing and didn’t really take any damage despite being left open, physically she’s unmatched and was overpowering Godzilla and Kong

Shimo is not offensive type if we watch her carefully. The body language and how she refused all the time to fight . Physically yaa, shes bigger . But godzilla def more agile and quick. Ice wont do anything much to godzilla as he can melt it quickly with his body radiation . In this movie, we see both are not fighting at full power and intensity . More to Kong fight and story

I don't think shimo could have killed Godzilla. Both shimo and Godzilla seemed pretty unfazed by any of the battles, Godzilla wasn't trying to hurt shimo and shimo wasn't trying to hurt Godzilla. If Godzilla really wanted to hurt shimo he could have. Godzilla blasted/melted a hole into the earth's core the hole created was far bigger than Kong and that was prior to his new form. Godzilla keeps the balance and Shimo wasn't a threat to the balance, after scar king stepped up to Godzilla he hounded him with his atomic breath because he knew that he was the threat. That's also why he immediately undid shimos weather alternating breath with ease and after seeing that shimo looked both happy and impressed. Shimo probably wasn't putting in 100% effort however Shimo did heavily use it's frostbite breath against Kong and Godzilla. I don't think shimo is weak but I do think Godzilla is stronger. It's shown in the iwis story that scar king already has Shimo in his possession when he was trapped. After all is said and done I think Godzilla would beat Shimo with mid to high difficulty. (Atomic breath > Frostbite breath, Godzilla is more experienced, smarter with the information we have Shimo seems more like a dog than anything else, Godzilla has better battle IQ, speed was similar, Godzilla has better agility.)

@@shahcamranahmed9056 I watched the movie and I'm using the context clues from the battle that we got. It wasn't long and didn't feature a lot of Godzilla and shimos battle. So most of my information is gathered from gxk. For instance Shimo was able to be pinned or caged by a small lava flow and lava doesn't tend to melt the earth away, however Godzillas atomic breath slices through buildings and tunnels through the earth with ease. Honestly it's just like a pokemon game in the fact that Godzilla is just typed well against Shimo. Shimo is POWERFUL shimo wasn't immediately overpowered by Godzilla which means Shimo is stronger than titanus tiamat, I Tiamat is a very strong titan. The only thing we can say about shimo is that shimo is at least the third strongest titan in the series maybe even equal to Godzilla right now.

I wouldn’t say he easily handled Shimo. In terms of “elemental” abilities, yes, I’d say he has the edge. In sheer bulk though, he got _manhandled_ by Shimo

This was my thought as well. Big G was consuming a crazy amount of energy. Whether he absorbed it merely as a catalyst or not, his pre evolution form I believe could’ve bodied Skar and Shimo no problem. I think he’s bulking up for something bigger

I’m actually looking forward to the next Monsterverse movie now. At some point they’ll bring in Destroyah and it will be absolutely glorious 🔥

It was literally shown in the Movie that he released it to the Atmosphere/Sky to counter the Frost released by Shimu. He had to prep because Shimu was bigger than him and may have been more powerful than his base form. We are talking about one of if not the Oldest Titan here, Shimu literally started the Ice age so she is not to be underestimated. I don't know why this guy is tryna hype up Space Godzilla, like he's made multiple vids about it at this point. It's too goofy for the Monsterverse even with the recent shenanigans we saw, we already had Ghidorah as an extraterrestrial threat. But unlike Ghidorah, Space Godzilla is too corny in my opinion. Destroyah is a way better final boss/end villain in my Opinion. A monster birthed from dormant microscopic precambrian crustaceans which got fused/polluted by the very thing meant to destroy the Goat himself.

Godzilla was expecting all the giant ape population to come after him 🤷🏽

Bro was literally roused from slumber by the Iwi's SOS signal urgently moving out knowing he had to face a massive powerful Titan and an army of Kongs alone. This was not because of Spacegodzilla.

I actually like how, similar to GE and Shin, Monsterverse is displaying Godzilla as having infinite evolutionary potential to ensure near godhood over everything.
