I wish British McDonalds had more fun packaging like this. Japan in general when it comes to food understands the importance of novelty and aesthetics.

@@skoolynugenator1802 A lot of Japanese culinary videos, even if it's a review of another chef, will focus still on the artistry of it and will use delicate methods to show a cross section of the dish. A lot of Western food reviewers will just show post bite. I found it comical because McDonalds is such an American thing, but this is a burger for Gojira and the demo was so authentically Japanese.

That haul - the McD's stuff and the soda - would be at least $30 in the US. McD's has become crazy expensive but even when it was cheaper, er, "cheaper" it was still cheaper to eat at the Denny's across the street and at Denny's they refill your drink.

The quality... uhm, if you can call it quality, has deteriorated to the point where even the least of their menu items is ridiculously subpar. Once I ate In-N-Out years ago, McD's and the rest became extremely expendable. If I'm held at gunpoint and made to eat McD's, the only thing I could stomach would be a filet o' fish. It would be interesting to see if America will get any kind of promo for the new Godzilla movie. I'm really kind of surprised we never seem to get different flavors of pies... if I could afford to fly to Japan, I'd get a few hundred of those butterscotch pies! We can't even get cherry pies, which at one time used to be a common menu item. After seeing the different flavors of pie, I dislike McD's even more now!

@@stoveguy2133 Big Mac's imo nothing has really changed but the prices, always random quality depends who makes your burger and slaps it all together quickly or takes their times... Typically it's slapped together ofc. 😂 For the price it's kinda mid nowadays. I remember I would get 4 burgers for like 4.24 with tax. Not too shabby. Nowadays that's at least 8 bucks. I'm talking about the McDoubles when they were a dollar as well as the McChicken sandwhiches. 🥲 When I see Japanese McD's I always fall in love, it just seems like lots of the foreign McDonalds have some quality sheit compared to the standard US menu. But in the end, McDonalds will always be McDonalds lol sub-bar. I wish I had an In-N-Out on the East Coast. 😭😭 Or Burger shack whatever those are called. I've found it's best to just make your own frfr.

I was wondering why that chicken patty looked weird, then it dawned on me. Japanese batter has egg in it! Or at least egg white. In the US is more of a breading batter on the outside, but the nuggets are done like that in this video. And also from the look of it, those pastries may have been fried too. McD's hash browns are one of my weaknesses so I like seeing it on a burger.

Well, back in the day (we're talking like 50 years ago because I'm almost 62 now) butterscotch was a pudding flavor you could always find. And the butterscotch pudding was good! Weird, but good, and better than those little Werther's things.

15 USd for 4 burgers , 2 sides and an energy drink. Australia is sooo bad, I spoke to a Japanese lady today in fact at my work who was picking up her mother after a medical procedure and she mentioned how food is so expensive here during our conversation. Ofc she meant, not just fast food but all food. Here, 1 Mcdonalds burger will be $5 USD or about $8.50 AU. An energy drink will be (from a convenient vendor like that) about $7 Au or $4.50 USD, then add those sides too... Its crazy now, our incomes have not changed in years but cost of things climbs each year... Somehow, we all just seem to accept it.
