I wonder if there are any new flash 52 comics

While I do still like Godspeed's design and place in the story. I had hoped he would stay an anti-hero. Since we don't seem to get many speedsters willing to kill criminals.

Godspeed in recent years has become my favorite speedster and suit looks badass with the white & gold

I mean, power-wise and personality-wise he's nothing special. His only unique power is that he can clone himself, which is useless because it weakens both the main body and the clone and slows him down by a lot. In comparison, Eobard Thawne (comics version) has like, 20 powers, without any drawbacks, including time-travel, age-manipulation, regeneration, complete molecular control and many more. Godspeed is pretty weak compared to the big-names like Hunter Zolomon, Eobard Thawne, Wally West and even current Savitar. (Their comics versions of course) Personality wise he's your typical anti-hero, like Marvel's The Punisher, wanting to kill criminals and use his powers for "justice" and enforce the law everywhere around the world. Lore-wise his backstory is a copy and paste of Hunter Zolomon's. His only real advantage is his suit.

The comics were much simpler and made him a decent character rather on the flash where he was just another speed hungry maniac who he too wants to be the fastest, has his own clones at war with each other and him also being from the future an also wants to become a god, shits confusing asl

@@wolfgang6442 i honestly liked his portrayal in the show. It was the only decent/good part of the season. I know it changed a lot from the comics but I kinda like that he was a psychopath willing to go to any lengths to get what he wants. I do wish he got more of a background story before those final episodes of the season cuz it didn’t really feel like he had a good motive tho.

He was also killed by Reverse Flash who snapped his neck and it turned out he was the one who killed his brother. Barry took away Thawne's power by tethering him and he got sent back to the 25th century. He also got resurrected from that so he's alive again. There's also a female Godspeed in the Flash Forward series with Wally West. That version is his wife Linda Park

I agree with you. First of all, his lightning is white and yellow(ish)/gold(ish). They made it all white. I know Eoboard Thawne and Hunter Zolomon are the major duo speedster, but Godspeed is no joke at all in the comics. Godspeed is the only speedster who can be at multiple places at once. The other speedsters need time travel or remnants. He is such a threat due to the fact that Reverse Flash hates this one.

I remember when Benny covered the initial run I can't believe it's been 6 yrs already

Same. The audiobook style gave a better idea of the tension in the story and that shows how big of a deal the character is. It is also nice to listen to something for background noise

god speed is such a interesting villian.

If he's fast enough to be in two places at once why bother pulling off that illusion, just use the time you would've running back and forth mimicinh fake you to get things done instantly.

Best Flash villain? He’s one of the most disliked and controversial among readers, not only for his backstory being a cheap ripoff of Zoom’s, but because Williamson didn’t use him for anything besides his debut arc and “Flash Age.”

Iron man and The Ghost relationship now that was weirder lol

Well Godspeed was killed by Reverse Flash and then came back to life after Barry stopped him. There's also an alternate female version that's Wally's wife from another world.

Reverse Flash below Godspeed? Eh… Thawne is way more unique of a villain compared to Godspeed, and Godspeed’s origin is kind of stolen from Hunter Zolomon. Don’t want to say it’s a complete ripoff but the similarities are really obvious.

Please make videos about the flash Starting from Barry's first comic. The comics replaced Barry Allen with Wally West, and I hate it. I literally grew up with Wally West only to find out he was a complete rip-off who only existed because DC wanted to prove that they really would kill off a popular character. And the finally got Barry Allen back, only to have him nerfed to hell and injustlly replaced, which also ruins Wally's entire character and orgins. There is literally no reason for it. The entity of the Flash mythology literally revolves around the fact of Barry Allen being THE Flash and the fastest man alive, who also has the strongest relationship to the rest of the JLA characters as one of the 7 OG founders! If DC just didn't know what to do with Wally West, they shouldn't have used him or especially tokenize him. And if they just wanted Kid Flash fans to have Wally West be Flash, they should've just gone and made a "The Foash Of 2 Timelines" story, exactly like what they did with Jay Garrick and Wallis West, and then just make comics for both 9f them like they did with Batman and Batman Beyond!

@@thexyouthxattack I think it's odd that they even tried to replace Barry Allen. It's also getting pretty annoying and pretty frustrating, which is a drastic contrast to what the Barry Allen comics ended up being to start off.

@@BartholomewHenryAllen Barry isn’t unique or special. Jay Garrick was the first flash. Even with the “flash of two worlds” going on, Jay was still sidelined and reduced to a guest character. Barry replaced Jay, and then he was replaced by Wally, who was then replaced by Bart. If we really want to talk about “rip-offs,” then they’re all ripoffs of Jay Garrick, the original Flash.

@@thexyouthxattack Barry actually wasn't a replacement. This was made clear in the Flash of 2 worlds. It also served as a promise to the Jay Garrick fans to continue to use Jay Garrick Flash even during Barry Allen's run, for as long as Jar Garrick's fans asked for. The Flash comics wasn't just about Barry Allen, but rather, it was a team-up between the fastest men alive, where Barry Allen still continued to be the most popular. Wally West was created as a son figure to Barry Allen, while Jay was the father figure. They where a team of 3 since the Silver age.

Much so. Godspeed really isn’t that powerful of a speedster. In the “Flash Age” comic storyline, Thawne instantly took down Godspeed so fast neither Barry nor August could react to it. Godspeed vs Barry was a long fight that ended when Barry got help from Wally to defeat him. Reverse Flash vs Barry + Wally was a one-sided slaughter.. and Thawne was only playing around. Barry only survived by 1. pulling a power up out of his arse and won because of plot armor.

I knew that the netflix flash show has bad writing... bad i just realised how much of a clown godspeed is there compared to this godspeed.. and i know from other flash comics he even has decent character development
